The world is not a wish-granting factory.

"Do I look good?"
"Would Prince Andrew notice me?"
"I'm so going to be the next Queen of Ara!"
"Prince Andrew would notice me because look at me. I got that beauty!"
"No! You're not! Prince Andrew would notice me!"
I rolled my eyes. Typical...girls that are trying to use their beauty to seduce the Prince. The Prince is just an ordinary person.
"Ahem...he's not just any ordinary person. He's going to be the next King," One of the girls scoffed at me. Oops, I said it out loud...
Tomorrow was the day where all of the girls in the kingdom aged eighteen and nineteen would gather at the castle, to be trained to be crowned the future King's wife, Queen of Ara. Except those you are married and they have at least a child.
But if you do not meet up with the King, Queen and of course, The Prince's expectation, you would be dismissed. So this is more like one of the reality shows, where you will be dismissed.
"Hey Aubrey! Excited for tomorrow? What are you going to wear? My Mom suggested this big gown that she wore, when she was one of the candidates of King Nathan," Emma explained, also one of my closest friends.
"I'm not going to dress to impress Prince Andrew," I shrugged.
Emma gasped as if it was one of the most offending thing she has ever heard. "Excuse me ma'am, he's going to be the future King of Ara. And that Prince Andrew is definitely the looker," She winked and giggled. "And imagine that I'll be the future Queen of Ara! The luxurious life that I would finally get to enjoy."
"So the luxurious life and being future Queen of Ara makes you happy. Not the Prince, himself... just being the looker..." I noted.
"Yeah...my life would be complete!" She sighed happily, and I could tell she was in her 'dream' land already. I kind of feel bad for her now. It only seems riches and good looks are always in her bucketlists.
"But I would see you tomorrow with my parents! Adios!" She waves off and I did the same.
As I walked back home, I couldn't help but think. Mom has told me many stories about her experience in the palace.
"Hey sweetie! You came back from school!" Mom smiles at me.
"No! I didn't came back from school. I just came from the heavens, where I jumped down to earth," I mumbled sarcastically.
"Your sarcasm sweetie. You have to learn to control it. Especially since tomorrow is the big day," mother explains and I groaned. Why is everybody talking about the most important occasion of the kingdom. Oh yeah, the Prince has come of age and is looking for his bride.
