Anna and I snuck through a back way to get near the first point.
Guards did their rounds and Anyone caught was shot on the spot.
We dove down near the fence as a solder walked by so close he must of seen us. But the soldier kept on walking, cutting quickly though the fence with wire cutters we made it to the first point. Crawling through the grass we made it to a river shallow enough to walk though ,while staying low to the water. The man already had our bags so they won't get wet,it also held his payment for getting us across. Waiting for the two guards on watch to turn away we hurried to the car when we along with our hearts stopped , “HEY! “ A guard yelling. “What do you think your during, turn or ill shoot”. We turned the guard wasn't talking to us.
We both let out breaths we didn't know we were holding and carried on with out great escape. We drove state to state making stops on the way, till we reach Wyoming my stop. I got out but Anna didn't “ Bells you coming “
“ no i'ma find my family in Canada “, I gave her a hug and she continue speaking. “ Come find me after you find your dad, I love you”.
“ I love you too bells I'll see you soon “.”See ya”, it was one of the first real times I've seen the girl so seriously. Gunshots we're constantly heard on the distance growing loader as I walked on, it's been hours since I left the truck. I dip in and out of housing the real fighting was miles ahead.
But with the men lying in the streets I'd have to say this is real fighting as well. I grabbed a helmet and kept walking to the Rocky Mountains. It all seem easy other then the hunger no one bothered me but robbers., till some Russian men grabbed me out the street tossing me to a wall. Dropping the notebook and all my stuff. When two gun shots we're fired and the men dropped. Next thing i know that gun was pointed at me, “ Who are you “ The men spoke “ Sarah silver I'm looking for my father “. I slowly reach to the book to the left of me they noticed. “ We will bring you too him first tell us what that is “. I tell them it's a Russian general's journal. They bring me to my father.
After talkin to the guards to let me in a go to my father study were time stood still. His brown hair a mess five a clock shadow and bags under his eyes, well tears fell from mine. I ran to him when *BANG. I was probably two feet from him when he fell the men behind me shot him I yelled and yelled till I realize they weren't American. Then I cried getting up and tryna run to no use., they grabbed me bringing me to the side of the mountain , holding the book they speak but I hear nothing.
Rooted to the spot of ripped up soil, I stare blankly ahead deft to the noise around me, soldiers moving closer to front lines, getting win after win. Problem is they weren't our soldier's and with a knee to the back I feel into the crossfire, knowing normal will never be the same.
