The Game boy

Ethin POV

I looked at all the video games wondering how it would be to play all of them. I never had a video games or anything like that. The guy that worked there saw me and opened the door waiting for me to come in I walked in and gasped. Everything was so cool 

"Would you like to try a game?" The man asked I nodded 

He gave me this thing it said DS on it I open it and it had game. I turned it on and it made a noise that it was on it scared me but I got used to it. Mario Cart was the first thing that showed up I played for hours until the man came back 

"Would you like to buy that?" He asked with a soft smile

A frown formed when I heard him say that I've never had money to buy stuff like this. When I looked up at him he looked at me as if he understood I gave back the DS and walked out. 

"E!" I turn my whole body and see Darling running towards me 

" Where were you?" She asked I pointed to the game store

She sighed and patted my shoulder I let the tears build up and go down my cheek. Darling wrapped her arms around me I sobbed in her shoulder. I might sound like a cry baby but it sucks when you can't what others do and that happened often to me and my sister 

Darling POV

My heart broke into pieces my brother was never ungrateful and always thanked god for what he had he never complained and was ok with a lot things he didn't have. But I knew he really wanted a game but couldn't just something we couldn't offered but an idea popped in my head. Are birthday is coming soon in two weeks that give me enough time to try and get something with a video game 

The next day

I woke up extra early so I could get to the store in time without Ethin noticing. I got out of bed carefully so I don't wake him up. I quickly got changed and left. I see the man that owns the game store opening up I run inside 

"Mr can I make a deal with you" I said he looked down at me and raised his brow

"What's this deal?" He crossed his arms I sighed 

"If i come early everyday till next month and clean can I have a game boy with a couple of games" I offered he thought about 

He walked away and came back with a not pad and started writing something down. He handed it to me when he was done 

7:00 am - 10:00pm 

I nodded and smiled 

"I'll give the game boy tomorrow only if you come on time" he said sternly 

"Yes sir" I ran out with a smile

2 weeks later

I finished organizing all the disc and put all the new games in the back. When I finished I grabbed my jacket and left I need to find something to wrap the game boy in. I borrowed a bag from a thrift shop I made it home on time 

"D were all back here" I hear Ethin say 

I walk outside to the back and see all of Are friends I smiled at them and gave them all a hug. They had happy birthday then we sang when it turned 10 they all left. Me and Ethin were cleaning up 

"There's a surprise in the room when your done" I smirked 

His eyes widen and he ran to are room I walked behind him. Then soon I hear a gasp I walk into the room I see him holding the game boy and all the games that came with it he looked at me with tears in his eyes. He got up and ran to me lifting me off the ground into his big bear hug. I hear mumbling thank you to me 

"How did you get this?" He asked 

"I worked at game store from 7 till 10 I knew you really wanted this so I worked do it" I smiled 

His lighted up all night me and we're playing games on his new game. I showed how to use it and he loved it
