⚜⚜⚜⚜The gust of wind ruffled through his hair. Memories of two children on a green field making never-endless promises flooded his mind as he stepped out of the car. They were happy laying down on the soft grass, looking up with one hand behind their heads and pointing up at the sky with the other. Imagining what the world might have in-store for them as they got older and stronger together.
Although their parents had different plans.
He sat there at the edge of the hill, waiting for her arrival like any other day. “Let's make a wish before the sun sets” he said closing his eyes and covering hers with both my hands.
“Promise me we'll watch the sunset together until the day we get old, like our parents” she said in that sweet high pitch tone of hers.
Peeking with one eye open he saw her extending her arm towards him.
“Yes, it's a promise” he said holding out his pinky as she did the same.
That was a promise they made. To watch it, the sunset each day without a miss.
Until that one gloomy Friday. He waited for her, two hours to be exact.
Once the sun had set he felt something was wrong Yes, he felt it in the pit of his stomach although he had second thoughts as it might probably be the food he just ate.
It was unlike her to miss out on the sun setting, it became somewhat of a ritual for them.
He got up and ran up the hill in search of her. Starting from her home since she didn't live far away. As he got closer, the house grew bigger...and empty.
There was no one home but as he got closer to the door, he tried to peek into the window. The house was in fact wiped clean from any furniture down to the family portraits that hung on the wall. He couldn't believe it, running around to every window he could reach, screaming her name over and over.
Eventually, Losing his voice he kept yelling up her window but it was more of a gasp rather than words.
Nothing, no answer.
He sat there by her window, thinking she might perhaps come back. Holding his knees up to his chest.
Once that first tear broke the rest followed . In broken sobs, “Don’t worry Y/N, i won't forget our promise”. The night took over and he dozed off waiting for Y/N.
“Jin...Jin”

“Jin… wake up sweety” Ryu said slowly caressing Jin’s soft cheek before pressing her lips against his. Shaking off his sleepy state he smile, and held her hand close to his face “Don’t stop, i like it” he uttered moving her closer to his bare chest.
“We can’t, come on we have to get to our appointment” she groaned, Jin knew her well enough. Yes she was somewhat of a control freak and there were times she was a bit too much to handle for most but he knew how to bring out her gentle loving side.
They were going over some last details with the wedding planner leaving them both exhausted to the bear bone.
“So who are we meeting with today?” he asked removing his arm from her as she stood up from the side of the bed. Taking the thin bed sheet with her to cover her herself from being seen.
“A photographer, it's the last thing we need” Ryu abruptly answered making sure Jin wasn't trying to sneak a peek then pushing her hair back to tie it into a messy bun.
"it's almost over and done with okay". Making it sound like it was a bad thing, but he caught on assuring her it will turn out ass planned.
Ryu has been quiet a mess the past few months every since the proposal she wasted no time. She wanted to make it official. "Mrs. Kim..... Kim Ryu" he would hear her mumble in her sleep. Jin took note of this, getting more involved into the planning than Ryu. He wanted to cut some stress since she was trying to balancing her hectic work schedule and the wedding.
Eager to go Ryu grabbed Jin's car keys, "Sweety I got your keys let's go, I would hate to be late". She poke across the living room cheeking off some last minute changes that were made last week.
Ladies first Jin replied, opening the front door of the house.
Now ten minutes away, Ryu was practically shaking in her seat, nervously tapping her thumbs on the notebook she was holding. The one she's gotten to organize the weeding. A notebook packed with sticky notes and scribbles I couldn't bother trying to decipher, a mess of a notebook only she understood.
Making a U turn into the parking lot, "Take it easy Ryu, we made it with five minutes to spare" he added after a quick look at his watch. Once he pulled into the nearest space available, he looked the car door.
The couple walked hand in hand into the photography studio, getting a few stares and envious glares left and right, along with side comments. "aww what a couple...so cute together....they'll only make beautiful babies" also with those not so wholesome comments like "give it two years, hey maybe months....that honeymoon phase won't last forever...I can already tell their future arguments."
Both rolling their eyes as they passed those carefree workers.
"Mr. And Mrs. Kim, so glad to see you two" the receptionist bowed, "come this way" she continued guiding the happy couple to an office the size of two apartments combined. The white walls packed with pictures of gorgeous landscape, family portraits, kids playing, and a few of green fields.
It was all aesthetically pleasing, "Take a sit she'll be right with you" signaling them towards the comfy chairs before she slowly closed the door to give them some privacy.
After ten minutes someone walked into the room, Cutting their conversation short. Making them both turn their heads to the click-Clack of the heels against the wooden floor.
With a modern casual look. Black High heels, jeans, a blue blouse covered by a black blazer. She looked stunning.
"Nice to meet you both, My name is Y/N"
Jin's POV
Y/N, my body tensed up at the sound of her name. Those eyes. Her gorgeous hair, that unforgettable smile. Could it be?
My Y/N....
**********⚜⚜⚜**********
Y/N looking suprise for less than a second, held on tight to her notebook pressing it on to her chest as she bowed, "My sincere apologies for keeping both of you waiting" as she walked to her desk.
Avoiding to meet her gaze, I reached for Ryu’s hand interlocking it with mine, as it was the only way I could feel grounded.
“Take a seat. There’s a lot to discuss before your big day”, she noted, adjusting a few strands of hair behind her right ear, looking at Ryu with the brightest of smiles than me. Confused, our eyes met for a bit longer than what's considered normal causing her smile to vanish into an expressionless one.
Millions of thoughts filling my head. Unintentionally biting my lip for the majority of the consultation, only nodding here and there to avoid wrongful suspicion from my soon to be wife.
My wife Ryu.
Having no idea as to why i felt it would be wrong to acknowledge her, i bowed “Thank you, we’ll stay in touch” Ryu said getting up from the chair with Y/N’s business card in hand. “Thank you” i repeated after they were done chatting about photoshoot and what not.
Following Ryu after we were done, wrapping my arm around her waist as we exited Y/N’s studio.
I felt it, and saw it from the corner of my eye. Her eyes following our every move as we walked together like any other couple.
