❁ Chapter 1 ❁

"How many times have I told you not to bake the cookies like that?" I murmured and looked down at the kind of burned cookies.

"At least I can bake." Grace just rolled her eyes a little.

"You should better go read your boring books."

"They are not boring?"

But how. Grace is that kind of nerd. She reads a lot, studies all time although we are on Christmas break and she just loves watching those shows, where they keep telling stupid information about Global and animals and I don't know what.

I mean she is really beautiful. Light brown eyes, dark brown hair and her body is pretty good so why would she stay in her room studying all day or reading literature or just hang out with nerds at a library? I always asked myself, why she doesn't put makeup on or even try to do something with her look. She just wears her hair in a ponytail and that everyday

"Do I look good?" Zoe screamed, while she jumped to the kitchen.

"Well at least better than we do." I said, looking back at the dough.

Grace laughed and looked at me.

"Yeah that's for sure." Zoe laughed.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To a party" Not surprised.

"Is Finn going to be there?" I asked.

"I don't know I'll call Bryan."

"Why Bryan?" Grace asked.

"Yeah because he's the best brother ever? He knows everything." She rolled her eyes.

Zoe is crazy about parties and about Finn. She has a crush on him for 6 months now and I guess he also likes her but you can never be sure.

Finn will never show if he likes anyone and will also never admit it so yeah it's pretty complicated.

As the most popular guy at college he has the right to always act hard around girls, but unfortunately that just doesn't work with Zoe. Also she is very attractive and every guy at school used to beg her to go out with him, but she always rejected them. But I believe that Finn and Zoe look great together. I mean how can you not like them?

"Okay baby, I'm coming. I'll talk to you later. Love you, bye!" She snapped the phone shut, then dropped it into her purse, before slinging it back over her shoulder.

"He is not." Zoe said, now looking angry.

"Oh are you still going there?"

"I promised someone, I don't really remember who but I just promised."

"Have fun." Grace smiled.

"Will have it." She said and with that she left.

"Why didn't you go with her?" Grace asked me.

"You know I don't like parties. Just like you."

"But I'm the studying type so I don't even belong there."

"So do I"

"No, you are just depressed all the time and you don't want to go out and have fun, meet new people and just breath."

"Well that's me Grace, get over it."

"No I want you to be happy."

"I am." I now smiled and looked at her. " I'm here with my best friend, baking Christmas cookies and talking. That's my mood, I love that."
