The Manor of Sleep

{This is my very first story, so I'm just going to start writing I guess! It'll be a work in progress throughout, so bear with me!}

Rei Kurosawa was age 23. She was a professional freelance photographer too. She had a loving fiancé, Yuu Asou and a kindhearted assistant, Miku Hinasaki. Rei could say her life was pretty good.

Everything changed one night.

Rei was driving down a gently travelled road with her fiancé riding shotgun. She would take her attention off of the road every so often to make ax comment about work or a joke to Yuu. Rei took her attention off the road one time for a quick second and disaster struck. Rei had crashed the car and Yuu was buried under the massive pile of debris. Rei was somehow unharmed though.

Rei's life went into a downward spiral after the incident. When she went home she refused to enter Yuu's room, for emotional reasons. Miku was always by Rei's side through thick and thin. Miku cared after Rei and made sure she didn't do anything drastic like try to commit suicide. Rei's main comfort as she stayed with Miku was Miku's cat, Riru. Riru was a sleek black cat with green eyes that dazzled like emeralds.

One week after the incident, an endless rainfall occurred. Rain drizzled on the wooden deck outside, creating a calming sound, at least for Rei.

Rei got ready for bed that night, sliding into her nightgown and ticking herself nearly under the sheets. She began to drift away into her dreams, a seemingly safe place. But, this dream would be anything but safe.
