I finally decided to write this 'little' rant about what I've found lately. Yes, as you can read in the title, I found thieves. It is not your usual graphic thief. But a cropped out cover from BEST SELLING AUTHOR. How could I know this? I've been in book community for almost 4 years also cover wh0re. So I could easily recognize them.

Last week I found this thief (she cropped the full cover) and I happened to know the cover designer. So I asked the designer if it is a free to use stock photo or custom. Of course the designer is furious because she manipulated the cover (change color & adding things). Designer decided to let the real author reported it. Done.

Also I found this person with 50k followers use the cropped out cover. Just wow.

There's so many awesome cover artist in this community. Ask them. It is FREE (no real money involved) as long for personal use only. Don't be a hypocrite when you say no to plagiarism yet steal other's work.

Of course most of them is blaming on google/pinterest/etc. Dude, don't you know google is only a search engine? They're not provide you these images to be 'grab' and claim. Pinterest also for idea/promotional/portfolio purpose only.

I laugh my ass when people sell books with actor/actress/models on the cover. Unless you have the permission. This case is for commersial purpose. Stock photo can be bought from $1-10 and no one will sue your sorry ass.

Pixabay is a maybe/grey area. Unsplash is better. Why? Recently, I found yoonymi's graphic stolen by someone who claimed got it from pixabay. So, everyone could upload anything into the web? But if you're insist to use pixabay, make sure that the image is from real owner; not other uploaders.

Can someone tell this double standard person? She ripped off the original cover.
