Pair: Jeongsun (Jeonguk and Changsun)
genre: Fluff and some angst
requested by: mi papí delicioso -spaceman
summary: Changsun loves Jeonguk a lot. Like more than Wonho's love for ramen. Thing is, Jeonguk is-

"Jeonguk hyung, I missed you so much today!" Changsun's cheerful voice rang throughout the house as he basically ran in to see his love. Well, his best friend....Nah, his love sounds better...At least to himself it does.

"Oh hey, Changsun. How was your day at work?" Jeonguk asked the younger, getting up off the couch to get some chicken from the kitchen. Changsun threw his bag on the chair in the living room and took Jeonguk's spot on the couch.

"Very very tiring. This one couple would not stop with PDA, and like I got really jealous because I need a relationship like that-" with you "- and it was just crappy. It got busy after they left, so I'm really tired right now," Changsun told him, leaning his head against the back off the couch. He works at a small cafe just down the street from where the two friends live.

Jeonguk nodded, walking back into the living room. He sat beside Changsun and took a bite of his chicken. Changsun moved over and rested his head on Jeonguk's shoulder. Jeonguk looks down at him and lifts his chicken up to Changsun's mouth. Changsun smiled and took a bite. "Thanks, hyung."

"How was your day?" Changsun asked Jeonguk after he swallowed the bite of chicken. Jeonguk frowned.

"Not so good. I don't have a lot of lyrics written, and I need something by Friday. Also my head has been hurting a lot. I've took some Tylenol though, so it should help soon," Jeonguk told the younger, who became very worried. He sat up and placed a hand to his hyung's forehead.

"You don't have a fever, so you're not sick. I wonder why your head is hurting you," he pouted softly, to which Jeonguk booped his nose.

"It's okay. It'll stop hurting in a bit," Jeonguk told him. He sighed. He really should tell Changsun what's going on. But it's hard for him to. He loves Changsun a lot and never wants to see the younger sad. He always wants Changsun to keep that bright smile on his face. If he told Changsun what was actually happening to him, Changsun would probably never smile again.

"H-Hyung? Are you okay? You're spacing out," Changsun's nice voice rang into Jeonguk's ears, pulling him out of his thoughts. Jeonguk nodded.

"How about you get changed, and we watch a movie?" Changsun nodded and quickly went to change clothes.

He got back, and Jeonguk nearly squealed. Changsun was dressed in the older's black hoodie and some sweats. Though Jeonguk is slightly buffer and there's not a huge difference in size, he finds it adorable that Changsun wears his clothes.

Changsun slid into the spot beside Jeonguk. Jeonguk casually rested his arm around Changsun's shoulder, making Changsun's insides go haywire. Changsun smiled softly up at him before resting his head on his shoulder.

It was a normal night for them. Them cuddled up together either watching TV or just talking. They both loved to be in each other's arms though they were both unaware that they both loved each other. It was really obvious, but it was oblivious to the two.

"What movie tonight, Changsunnie?" Jeonguk asked the younger, scrolling through Netflix. Changsun thought for a moment before saying the movie 'A Walk To Remember'.

The movie is really good, one of Jeonguk's favorites actually, though he wouldn't tell Changsun that. He's too tough for this movie.

The movie ended around two hours later and both of them didn't get to see the ending because they fell asleep, bundled up together.

--

"Mr. Kim," Dr. Jinhyuk called out, catching Jeonguk's attention. He stood up and followed the doctor to the exam room.

After doing tests, he was free to go. He's been fevers a lot more, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. It's different from his normal self, so he went to the doctor.

--

A couple days later, the hospital called him back. He drove to the hospital and waited to be called.

Once in the room, Dr. Jinhyuk went straight to the point. "There's not easy way to say this Mr. Kim, but you have Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Usually people over the ago of 60 are more at risk of this kind of cancer, but people in their 20s and early 30s can easily get it. It's fatal if not treated. If it's not treated then you could die in a couple months," he told Jeonguk, whose life just crumbled down. I can't lose Changsun. I can't.

"What is Acute Myeloid Leukemia?" he asked first.

"AML starts in the bone marrow, but in most cases it quickly moves into the blood. It can sometimes spread to other parts of the body including the lymph nodes, liver, spleen, central nervous system, and testicles."

"What type of medication or treatments can I have?" he asked quickly.

"There are some that I'll assign you to. Starting tomorrow, we will treat you for about three hours a day, okay? We do checkups every week to see how well the progress goes." Jeonguk nodded at the words, and Dr. Jinhyuk showed him the way out.

Jeonguk made it home to see Changsun asleep in the older's bed. He smiled and crawled in beside him, exhausted.

----

A month and a half later, Jeonguk was getting worst. Changsun began to worry. Jeonguk would throw it off as him just being tired. The doctors tried their best to fix medication and treatments to work, but it wouldn't.

"Mr. Kim, you have only a few days left to live. We have tried our best, but your case is fatal. I'm sorry," Dr. Jinhyuk said. Jeonguk nodded.

He needs to tell Changsun. He got home. "Changsun," he called out. Changsun walked out of Jeonguk's room.

"Yes, hyung?" he asked, sitting beside Jeonguk on the couch. Jeonguk was close to tears.

"I have to tell you something," he began before crying. Changsun quickly engulfed him in a hug and comforted him.

"You can tell me anything, hyung," he said.

"I have only a few days to live. I have cancer. I found out a few weeks ago. I'm sorry I kept it from you. I just want to see you happy," he said, sobbing into Changsun's neck, not letting the younger go.

Changsun began to cry. He only had a few days with the love of his life. No...

That night they just cried in each other's arms until they fell asleep.

The next day, Changsun never left his side. He called off work for two weeks. He stayed clinged to Jeonguk's side. Jeonguk wouldn't let him leave his side anyway.

They cuddled that night. Changsun looked up at Jeonguk. "H-Hyung?" he asked softly.

"Hm?" Jeonguk replied softly, looking down at Changsun. They were so close. Changsun gulped softly.

"I-I've liked you..All this time..I really want to spend your last days together...Please," he sniffled. Jeonguk was happy. He nodded and smiled. Changsun returned the smile and leaned forward to kiss him.

They shared a short kiss.

Their first and last kiss.

----

"J-Jeonguk Hyung! H-Hyung! W-W-Wake up!!" Changsun screamed, shaking Jeonguk's lifeless body.

Jeonguk wouldn't budge. Changsun sobbed. Soon the paramedics came. They tried to do CPR on him, but it was no use. He was gone.

Changsun had just woken up. Last night was an amazing night for them. They got together. They kissed and not even ten hours later, Jeonguk is gone.

He felt empty. He felt numb. Jeonguk was gone. His friend. His lover. His everything was gone.
