Loving me like a toy

When you first get with someone it seems all great and then you start to be together and soon the fun runs out.

When you get a new toy you’re so happy and then you use it constantly and the fun seems to  just wear away like the cotton clothes over the days.

When you first got me your eyes filled with joy,

An indestructible love of a first toy.

A soul mate, a pal, a kids best friend.

A piece of fabric sewn together locked together by both hands.

Together at night.

To be played with in the day.

The force of excitement can't be taken away.

But soon yes, this fantasy runs out.

You grow out of that doll into the next new thing

Now all it is an object to be flung and thrown

Stuffed into cupboards, left with nobody to entertain.

Memories lost.

Of earlier days.

My heart is like an old doll,

beaten up but loved once.

Im played with, tossed around a bit

But soon you get bored of me and run off to another toy.

Another piece of plastic,

Perfect to destroy.

You rip my heart, so hard to mend.

At last a special person comes along,

And puts me together so I can be enjoyed again.

You leave me for a while,

Then remember I am still here

But I need to find another lover now,

A new kid to play with.
