People smile, people laugh
Are these enough to indicate happiness?
Take a look at the people around you
Can you tell as to whether or not they are happy?
Be careful, for the world is full of hypocrisy
Full of pretentious people
They might only been smiling simply because this is the only place where they can
They might only been smiling because at home they can't
They might only been smiling because they don't want to complicate things
They might only been smiling because they want no drama
though their life is full of one
They might only been smiling because they want their problems to be covered
Some of them are smiling because they have tons of problems
Some of them are smiling because they are in pain
Some of them are smiling because they are carrying an unbearable burden
Yet they still smile because they wish for everything to be just fine
Everyone, among them is her
And this place is her only escape
No one here knows what's behind her smiles
Now people, don't tell me that she has friends
Don't tell me because those friends only know how problem-free she is
Those friends only know how carefree she is
Those friends only know how expressive she is
Those friends only know how simpleton she is
Yeah! Those friends don't know her at all
And she's dying because no one is interested to know
She's dying because
everytime she smiles, she got criticized
She's dying because
everytime she smiles, people would replace it with a frown
She's actually happy pretending that she's happy
She's actually happy making people believe she's got nothing to worry
She's actually happy
Supposedly happy
Till you people give her slaps and punches
How could you...
How could you grab her happiness just like that?!
How could you throw at her painful words
more painful than physical pain?!
How could you call her names
Her parents never gave?!
How could you...?!
Just when she's already enjoying being pretentious
There you are being obnoxious
You keep on wanting her tears
So you give her what she fears
But instead of showing you tears
She shows you smiles and laughters
And despite all the pain?
She didn't complain
But take a look at her eyes
You can see what shes trying to imply...
That behind those smiles...
are just stupid lies.
