I ran into the kitchen to see Ella lying on her back with a gunshot wound to her thigh.

"Ch-Charlie!!" Ella's cries before her head drops.

"I HAVE THE MONEY!!" I yell.

A man dressed All in black comes out with Brayden and Gracie.

"They've been fed" he says roughly and he throws them to me.

The man grabbed the bag of money before walking towards the door.

He turns around and says smugly "the boy is not yours, he is Scott Davies'"

I look at Brayden, he doesn't resemble me or Sophie one bit!

Leo and Hannah run over to aid Ella and before long I'm being pushed back by the ambulance man.

Why does this have to happen to my family?!

The paramedic check Gracie and Brayden and I'm relieved to say that they are both fine.

Ella? Not so much.

She looks pale and she's unconscious!

She hasn't responded to anything the past week that she has been here.

The police found the man who shot her and it was Scott's brother! Scott wanted to see Brayden so he got him the only way he knew. Violence!

I'm sitting next to Ella holding her hand, it's cold! Like ice cold and it has a hint of blue in it.

She's on a drip and has lost a bit of weight.

The doctor visits everyday and it's always the same Convosation.

"How's Ella today?" "The same she's still ill and unconscious"

"Just takes time, she should pull through Mr.Lenehan" then the doctor leaves.

I haven't eaten much, how can I? My on and only is struggling to live! How can I do anything beside sit here and stare at her?

The doctor comes in and I'm about to reply with what I always does when he says something that shocks me.

"Ella's not responding to any treatment! Mr. Lenehan? I have bad news we are pulling the plug to Ella's life support"

Those words crumble my world!!!
