Gajdesh got out of bed and looked at the time. 5:12. He threw off his shirt and pants, leaving him in his underwear. He ran to the closet and threw on a dark blue shirt and some jeans. He flattened his midnight-black hair and got some tennis shoes on. He rushed to the bathroom and quickly brushed his teeth. He got his backpack and then remembered he hasn't done his homework. He quietly cursed. Gajdesh said bye to his parents and walked out of his apartment and down the road. The bus came and picked him up. After a few more stops, the bus was at Callaway High. Gajdesh stepped off the bus and headed for walking track.

Meanwhile...

A girl with platinum blonde hair stepped off of the red bus, 644. She had blue cat ear headphones as she blasted 'In the Name of Love' through her headphones. She hummed to the music. She passed everyone as she quickly made it to the walking track. Once there, she started to sing quietly to herself. She got onlookers and stares because she had cat ear headphones. The platinum blonde hair bumped into a mixed boy with black hair and brown eyes. "Bruh! Don't bump into me like that." The boy said. The girl looked up and saw that it was her childhood friend, Taureun, mostly known as Tory.

"Oh. Hey, Des." Tory said. The girl smiled and waved a little. Tory had always treated Destiny like a little sister, and Destiny treated Tory like a big brother. "Why aren't you talking, little sis?" Tory asked. Destiny, her music paused, shrugged and smiled up at him. Tory was 5 inches taller than Destiny, but Destiny didn't really care. She was pretty short. She said bye to Tory as he went with his friends, Tedric and Brian.

She unpaused her music and started to sing quietly to herself again. She remembered all her friends from Callaway Elementary. Gajdesh, Manny, Sanyla, Alyeiah, Alysa, Tara, Brianna, Sage, Dallas, Chris, Jackson and D'Shaun. I miss them..., Destiny thought to herself. From behind, someone bumped into her. She fell to the ground, her phone falling beside her. "I'm so sorry!" A male voice said from above her said.

She nodded as she picked herself up off the ground and her phone. She paused her music and turned around to give the person a piece of her mind about pushing her down. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw who she was talking to.
