Chapter 5

After taking another look around the manor, you decided it was best to wait until 9.
It was currently an hour before the show, and you and the twins sat in the back of the big tent preparing for the show.
Mabel was doing her makeup since she was one of those hot magic show assistants, and Dipper was practicing his magic tricks.
You leaned against a door at the back of the tent. There was still no sign of Will.
Letting out a sigh, you looked around yourself.
You we're getting lost in thought when something grabbed your arm from behind you.
"Hey-!"
They put a hand over your mouth and quickly pulled you into the room behind you.
The room was pitch black, but you could see two bright blue eyes in the dark.
They still had a hand over your mouth.
"Let go of me you bastard!" You said into the hand, only causing the grip to get tighter.
"Hey, please don't yell... they'll hear us..."
Seeing you had no choice, you nodded and they let go.
Since you had your back to them, they turned you around and flicked on a dim light.
"Umm... hey..."
You quickly hugged them.
"Will!! Where have you been??"
"I... Umm..."
He started to blush and speak faster.
"I-I was over here! At the tent!"
You let him go and he calmed down a bit.
"So... I... need to talk to you about something... Important..."
You nodded. "Yup, I'm listening."
"...did they ask you to be in the show tonight?"
"Yeah, but only for a little bit! They said they would call me up and-"
He grabbed your arm.
"Y-y/n... get out of here..."
He looked you in the eyes.
"What? But why? What about you?"
"Anyone who goes up there with them... for their disappearing act..."
He looked down.
"...never comes back."
You knew it. Something wasn't right, and this just confirmed it.
"What? B-but why me? Did I do something wrong?"
"I-I'm not sure... but I think... it might be because of me..."
You were about to reply when you heard Mabel from the other side of the door.
"Y/n, darling! Where did you go? The show is starting in 10 minutes!"
Will muttered something under his breath.
"Y/n, I'm sorry... please, get away from here. I... don't want you to get hurt..."
You were about to say something, but he pushed you out the door before you could say anything.
You tried to open the door again but it was tightly locked.
"Y/n."
You quickly turned around. It was Dipper...
"Come on. Show starts in 5."
You were then grabbed by the arm and dragged off.
