My Life sucks. No ifs, ands, or buts about that. It just downright sucks. My life consists of the normal teenage things, WRONG. My life is definitely not the average teenage life... all I ever do is lay in my bed or go to the hospital. You see i'm a cancer patient.
I was diagnosed with lung cancer when I was 11. It happened when I was asleep on november 13, 2009. I woke that night with very intense breathing, I woke up my parents and they drove me to the nearest hospital. They did some x rays and thats when they diagnosed me with severe lung cancer. I never went to school again.
I'm sixteen now, its been 5 years since I was diagnosed. Being diagnosed with lung cancer really does affect your entire life, For any cancer for a matter of fact. I've only had the occasional visitor that was my friend Hannah. Me and Hannah have know each other since second grade.By the way my name is Aspen.
My mom is the one who has helped me through all my struggles in life. She just enrolled me in some sort of cancer help group. My first meeting is tomorrow. Tonight she told me that in the morning if I wasn't in the right mood to go to, shall I say support group, that I didn't have to go.
In the morning I was feeling normal. My mom woke me at around 8:30 and she told me that today should help me realize that i'm not the only one. I didn't fully understand what she meant at first but when we got to the church were it was being held, then I had figured it out.
