Aiko's picture above ^^

*******

There was a reason why Aiko made Zetsu go outside instead of her. Part of it was the tunnels and the boulders. Another part was her fear. That crippling, paralyzing fear that something horrible would happen if she set a foot outside the tunnels. Would something like her parents dying happen again? She was terrified. For a long time, she believed that she was a curse-- that it was because of her that her parents died. How else could she think that? Everyone in her family was taken down-- and she was the sole survivor. Why did only she survive unless she was the jinx that started it all in the first place?

People always blamed something for their disasters. She blamed herself. Even now, as Obito held her hand with that bright, determined look in his eye, she was frozen with terror.

"I....I can't--" Aiko wrenched her hand from his grip, her eyes wide, "I can't."

Obito's eye clouded over before a grim look settled his face. "Is that it?"

Aiko couldn't bring herself to answer, only nodded. He turned away, before his voice came, "Thank you for healing me. But I can't let my friends die."

"Here-- you can wear my body-" spiral patterned Zetsu spoke as he wrapped around the Uchiha-- forming a sort of framework around him.

"Arigato--" he thanked them before he smashed through the rocks in the entrance with an explosive jet of chakra and soared away, leaping into the distance.

  Aiko felt her heart seize.

  Regret. Remorse. Fear.

Zetsu scratched the back of his head. "Aiko—What does jinchurriki mean?"

Aiko froze. "Where did you hear that?"

"Some of the Kiri nin—" he replied, "they called the brown haired girl, Pin or something, a jinchurriki of the Sanbi."

"Fuck!" Aiko swore as she bolted towards the cave and came back with an armload of scrolls before shoving them in her backpack.

"Is something wrong, Aiko-Chan?" Zetsu asked.

"Zetsu—" she fixed him with a firm look, "where did you see them?"

Aiko's feet froze. One more step and she would be outside.

  Then.

Obito's face flashed in front of her eyes and she leapt onto the ground, busting chakra to her feet as Zetsu followed, leading her with his chakra.

They arrived in a battlefield. A white haired boy was striking with a shrieking lightning cutter in his hand, possessing a one eye Sharingan. Aiko felt the tug of chakra and saw Obito fighting beside him. She couldn't help but stare at their skill, the two working together.

Aiko forced herself to concentrate as she spied the brown haired girl, Rin. She was trembling violently, her eyes widened. Then. Aiko saw her sprinting towards Kakashi as he raised his hand that had the Lightning jutsu. Aiko slammed sideways into the girl, knocking the wind out of her as they both rolled backwards, Rin staring up at her in fear.

  "Who are you?!" She demanded.

"I nursed Obito back to health!" Aiko gritted her teeth, "I'm here to help you with your seal."

Rin swallowed, "You can do that? The Kiri-nin sealed it inside of me so that it will destroy Konoha once I reach it."

"Trust me—" Aiko fixed her with a fierce look as she pulled Rin's shirt halfway up to see the seal on her stomach. She inhaled sharply. She was right. Rin was a ticking time bomb.

Aiko pulled out a scroll marked with fuinjutsu as she cut her hand with a kunai before making a seal upon the parchment. "What are you doing?" Rin stuttered.

  Aiko was an Uzumaki.

Her chakra reserves were far above average.

  She was the perfect jinchurriki.

Aiko slammed her hand into Rin's seal, making the girl cry out in pain as she gritted her teeth. She had never tried it before, but it was the only option. Aiko made the hand seals before placing both hands on Rin's seal.

She was going to transfer the Three Tails into her own body. Once removed, Rin's chakra levels would deteriorate, killing her. That's why Aiko was going to pump her own chakra into Rin while moving the Sanbi.

This was going to hurt. Badly.

But even if Aiko wouldn't survive, Rin would through her chakra.

Aiko remembered the bone breaking training Obito put himself under, the nights he would murmur that he would return to Konoha. Aiko blinked back tears.

"Father, mother, it looks like I'll be seeing you sooner than you thought—don't cry, I'm doing it for someone I care about."

And as Aiko blinked back her tears, she let out a gigantic pulse of chakra as she felt her chest being ripped apart as she forced herself to remain conscious.

When the light dimmed and the chakra faded, Aiko trapped the Sanbi within her own body, feeling her head spin. Darkness swept over her along with pain until slowly, the girl slid sideways and hit the ground.

  She saw nothing.
