Words That Kill

This story is to those who encouraged me to write it

Why, is all I think as I watch my best friend die before me. What is my word is all I think that night. You see everyone has a word that if said within ear shot of them that person will drop dead. Only problem no one knows what their word or anybody else's word is. However, the next week I bought a house, and when cleaning out the attic, I came across boxes of books. As I was going through them I found some books I didn't know, so I started to look through them. That's when I came across a book that had billions of names appearing and disappearing, all with words next to them. I realized that those words were the ones that could kill them.

I told no one about what I found. If I did it could cause World War III with the entire world, and mass murder. People would be coming after me. I would probably die within a week. Plus, I'm 17 I don't really want to die yet.

"Luna, Luna Turner, where are you?" a voice down stairs called. I hid the  journal under my mattress. Then I ran down the stairs, to find that my friends had broken into my house, stole some food from the fridge, and they were in the living room watching Harry Potter. I ran and jumped on the couch in between Ashton and Devon. Sam and Alex were on the floor, while Kaia was in a kitchen chair she dragged into the living room. Devon started jokingly pulling on my long brown hair. I slapped his hand away.

"Where's Wade, and Zane?" I asked. My friends just shrugged and said together, "Their somewhere around here." 

"What you just let them go wandering around my house!" I yelled. Everyone else just burst out laughing and went back to watching the movie. Ten minutes later, the missing boys came running down the stairs and started shooting us all with nerf guns. The rest of us got up and ran to tackle them, just to steal their guns. It was the best time we've had since Zula died.
