Alyssa's POV

After an hour of riding in a car between the bickering Jason and Adam, we finally made it to our hotel. I had to stop and stare at the magnificent structure that stood so tall in the sky. It was lit up in some places, almost as if it were some priceless painting on display for the world to see. The inside of this highly praised hotel was no less perfect; tall, wide paintings were placed in a completely symmetrical way in the front lobby, and the marble floor shined with a newly polished look.

I walked up to the mahogany front desk to check in, leaving the rest of the group to wander aimlessly like the children they appear to be.

After I received the keys I turned around to find Jason giving Rose a piggy back ride, Adam stealing more than one mint from a bowl that was clearly marked 'Take ONE', and the rest playing a round of tag. Their, once again, childish acts caused me to laugh and gain the attention of my friends.

"Ooh, did ya check us in Alyssa girl? Lez go!" Jason slurred, marching towards the elevator with Rose still perched on his back. After looking around for witnesses, Adam sneakily dumped the rest of the mints down his shirt and ran to catch up with us. Danni and Kiona took the caboose after everyone else followed, picking up the candy that Adam dropped and chatting about which element of Pax they were looking forward to the most. Up ahead. I matched my pace with Jason's and pressed the glowing five button in the elevator once everyone had caught up. It was a tight squeeze when the doors closed, resulting in an awkward silence as some of us struggled to not press up against each other. But of course, someone just had to loose their footing (hint hint, Jerome). It was like a domino effect; he brought us down with him. I heard the ding of the elevator and the smooth swish of the metal doors opening. A mother and her child stood confused at the massive heap of bodies lying on the floor of the elevator, causing a small giggle to leak out of my mouth. And, like a plague of laughing disease, everyone began laughing as loud as they wanted to.

I just wish I knew how strange we looked to normal people. Heh...

****************************

After sorting out our mess, we finally managed to make it to our rooms. I handed out the keys to let everyone settle in, following Jason afterwards to our room. He decided that I would stay with him just in case any stalkerish fans found out their hotel room number (which oddly happens more often than not) so that I wouldn't be in any sort of danger. I stared at him unconvinced when he told me this.

"You'd barely be able to hold off a rabbit, you weakling," I teased, marching past him to plop my bag onto one of the two nicely sized beds. Jason scoffed in my direction but soon replaced it with a smile as Jerome came waltzing through the door.

"'Ey, Alyssa, Jason, the rest of us were gonna go over to the PAX building and check it out before we have to make any appearances. You two up for doing a little undercover sneaking around?" the quite skinny boy asked with a smirk. Jason and I made sideways eye contact and smiled.

"What great fun this'll be," Jason muttered as we pulled up our jacket hoods and followed Jerome out into the hallway.

Outside, the air was crisp and chilly. The hotel's lights seemed to get brighter as the sun set, its orange and yellow hues spilling out across the horizon. I took a big breath of the evening air and pulled my jacket closer to my body.

"You cold?" Adam asked, noticing the slight shivers my body emitted. He wrapped his black clad arms around my small frame and hugged me close. Warth radiated from his body, instantly making me feeel much better in the cool breeze.

"'Ey, lovebirds, hurry up and get over here! We don't have all day!" Bo called from down the street. Despite the distance, we could still here the group's muffled laughter as they tried desperately to breathe. I huffed but nevertheless grabbed Adam's warm hand and pulled him along with me. Across the street, a number of pedestrians made their way into the various small shops, looking for a refuge from the cold. One small store in particular however was dark, empty. It's sign said 'Open', but the loooks of it said otherwise. A pang of guilty feelings sprung up from my chest as I was reminded of the boy's success in something as fun as gaming. Some businesses were going bankrupt even though they were working as hard a they could to keep up while Jason, Adam, and their  friends sat back and recorded themsleves playing around.

I sighed, stealing one last glance at the store in question before hurrying to catch up with the group.

If I were to do anything in this world, I would want to make a difference. And to do that, I'm going to start with that small little cornerstore over there by the name of Zero's Cafe. Just you wait, world. Alyssa's coming for you.

That's how sorry I am I haven't updated, that this filler chapter is so short, that I've been so freaking busy with school, that I've procrastinated just so I could watch anime and draw. Honestly, I've already explained the real reason I haven't updated in forever. I stopped watching minecraft videos, and all together have kind of lost interest. I won't ever give up on this story, you can count on that. But I might need a fw ideas; I have horrible writer's block at the moment.

Well, I guess I'll see you next time. Ta ta!

Keep it cool,

Stay in school.

Flower power,
