Em Bethany stared Adam Craig down while he gave her a cocky grin.
"Whaddaya say? It's an easy offer really. $10,000 sounds like one hell of a deal," Adam replied.
"Could ya shut up please? I'm trying to think," Em said.
"What's there to think about? Most girls would kill to be in your shoes," Adam said.
"Well, I'm not most girls," Em snapped.
"Guess not," Adam said with a chuckle.
Em rolled her eyes. His laugh was gonna annoy the hell out of her if she heard it one more time.
~~~~~~~~~~Ten Minutes Ago~~~~~~~~~
Em Bethany was sitting at the beach, sipping at a strawberry-banana smoothie when she saw Adam Craig strut on the beach.
Adam Craig went to her school and was in the same grade as her. He was a legend there. With melting hot good looks and the bad boy attitude, he could snap and make a girl faint.
But Em wasn't buying his tough shit. He was just a stupid rich snob like the rest. What was the point of trying to act like you're not?
Anyways, she kept on sipping her smoothie while trying to ignore him. She couldn't be thinking about irrelevant people at the moment.
"Hey! Hey you!"
Em knew it was Adam so she ignored him.
"I'm talking to you! Girl sipping smoothie," Adam shouted.
Em turned to look at Adam.
"What do you possibly want?" Em asked.
"You're Em Bethany, right?" Adam asked, getting closer to her.
"Yeah. So?" Em asked.
"You're just the girl I wanted to see," Adam answered.
"Why?" Em asked with her eyes narrowed.
"Word on the grapevine is that you're the type of girl that likes a good deal and you're not a sore loser," Adam answered.
"The grapevine was correct. So...what deal do you possibly want to make with me that I'll be interested in?" Em asked.
"You have to be my assistant. For a month. Gruesome, I know, but if you comply...$10,000 will be in your pocket," Adam answered with a cocky grin.
"That's it? Just be your assistant? This is too easy," Em replied.
"Here's a catch. Most ladies in your shoes would fall for me and it would be unfortunate for you to fall in the same path," Adam said.
"Me? Fall for you? That's like the ocean turning pink!" Em snapped.
Adam gave Em a stare and she stared back. He chuckled before looking down.
"Whaddaya say? It's an easy offer really. $10,000 sounds like one hell of a deal," Adam replied.
"Could ya shut up please? I'm trying to think," Em said.
"What's there to think about? Most girls would kill to be in your shoes," Adam said.
"Well, I'm not most girls," Em snapped.
"Guess not," Adam said with a chuckle.
Em rolled her eyes. His laugh was gonna annoy the hell out of her if she heard it one more time.
"Fine. I'm in," Em said.
"And so it shall be. See you tomorrow, assistant. And you might wanna wear something cute. It'll make my job easier," Adam replied.
Em rolled her eyes as he walked off like he was some God.
