Em
Em was swimming. Swimming faster than she could ever imagine. What was making her do this? Adrenaline? Or was it anger?
You see, she was at the swimming center, practicing. Her dream was to become a Olympic swimmer. But first, she had to get out of this nothing town.
Which brought her back to that stupid Adam Craig. Be his assistant for a month?? Doesn't he have money for that type of stuff? Why choose her?
It must be a spoiled bad boy thing.
"Having fun?"
Em swam up to the surface and saw a smirking Adam Craig. How did he know her location?
"What are you doing here?" Em asked.
"Today's your first official day as my assistant. So...hurry up and get dressed," Adam replied matter of factly.
"What? We never discussed days?" Em asked.
"Exactly. That's why I chose today as the day. Really, Em, you should study in business. It helps in the future," Adam answered.
"Why do you study in business? Is that what daddy prefers you to major in?" Em teased.
Adam's face clouded for a moment and Em knew she struck a chord. Then, he smiled.
"Actually yes. He's a bit of a jackass when it comes to that," Adam replied.
"Oh," Em said.
"Yeah. Anyways, hurry up. My list of orders aren't going to be waiting," Adam said.
And just like that, Em maintained her anger. He just had to ruin it.
"Alright, alright," Em snapped.
She got out of the pool, sopping wet, and grabbed her towel.
"Give me about ten minutes," Em said.
"Five," Adam argued.
"Ten."
"Five."
"Ten."
"Five."
"Fine!" Em exclaimed, having enough of the argument.
Adam
As Em walked off, Adam couldn't help but stare at her retreating figure. She was pretty. Really pretty. But she was his assistant. For at least, a month. Unless...
Five minutes later, Em rushed out with a messy bun and nothing but a tank top and shorts.
"Em dear!" Adam called.
Em looked at Adam with a look of annoyance which made him smile. She looked cute when she was annoyed.
"What, Adamkins?" Em asked.
"Adamkins...I like it. Anyway, I'm adding one more condition to our contract," Adam answered.
Em had a look of fear cross her face and it took Adam a lot of energy not to laugh.
"If you happen to not be able to oblige by the guidelines of your assistant contract, you shall be forced to go on a date with me. Since you obviously can't stand me...I figure that can be your punishment," Adam continued.
"Dating you? You're gonna have to shoot me and then bury me in a glass coffin before dating me," Em argued.
"Good. We're settled then," Adam replied.
"Alright then. Now, tell me what I have to do so I can be one step closer to going home," Em said.
"First, chauffeur me to the mall," Adam ordered.
"Chaffeur you? You know I'm stupid!!! What does that mean?" Em asked.
"Drive me to the mall," Adam answered.
"Ok. Board the Adam Craig Pimp Automobile, driven by the ever sexy Em Bethany, cuz we're going on a ride," Em exclaimed before climbing into the front seat of Adam's car.
Adam, mystified and confused, climbed into the passenger's seat.
