In the ancient years (1485) of planet Heart, there was an emperor of a land (TBD) whom sought to never see his demise. The man was obsessed with life so much so that he had a laboratory sanctioned deep in the earth's crust. The Laboratory specializes in making sure the emperor never runs out of what every man runs out of; Life. There, the scientists worked day and night beneath the palace to find a cure to death. For 30 years, they've theorized and tested ideas but to no avail.
With each passing year, the emperor grew more and more paranoid as death crept closer to him. The thought of rotting in the ground where mere insects slowly eat the flesh from your bones was absolutely demoralizing for the emp. The nightmares of bugs chewing his eyes out shakes his very being. He often wakes up in the middle of the nights screaming in agony. One night, his wife attempted to supply him with a maiden's comfort. However, he mistook her for one of the nightmarish insects from his dream and crushed his wife's windpipe in horror. The cracking brought joy to his ears as he thought he was cracking the exoskeleton of a bug. The royal guard bursted in the room and turned on the lights, only to see the what they have wished to this very day to unsee.
When had realized what was done, he was speechless... The love of his life met the reaper by his doing. He commanded the troops to escort the corpse to the research laboratory to help further their research. Remove whatever organs they need and make sure she has a proper burial or they'll meet the same fate.Afterwards,The emperor went for a walk in the royal field to clear his mind from what happend. The emperor stood in front of the spot where he proposed to his wife. There was a sword halfway thrusted into the ground where his proposal knee rested. The sword had two edges; one of fortified gold and the other of pure titanium. The golden side was bladed while the titanium side was serrated. He shivered for hours rocking back and forth, chanting... whispering... crying... In front of the blade; Constantly looking to his left and right looking for what he hopes never finds him.
While emperor continued his abnormal behavior, a figure in the blackest cloak approched the madman. The emperor caught wind of him almost instantaneously and demanded the the tresspasser reveal himself and state his business.
"I begin but have no end... yet, i end all that begins...who am I? " the figure riddled. The Emperor became fearfully enraged. "A man that'll end up in a black cell or either worse: dead if you keep up this charade. My hands already reek of decay. I'm not afraid to renew the stench if it guarantees my safety". The emperor blurted. "Oh how I wish you could, mighty emperor. It is not that simple. The thing is, i am death Ramsey; i am death." The figure replied. The emperor peered into the hood of the the figure with eyes of intensity. "How... How do you know my name?! It can't be so! No... No! You'll never claim my soul! You'll never catch me on dry land.. Even you do, I will end all that seeks to end me! Even you!" Said Ramsey. Ramsey ripped his noble sword from the earth and pointed it toward Death.
"I've not come to reap your soul, fellow madman. I desire your aid. I need you to free me from my soul. I am-"
"Gladly!" Ramsey shouted as he rudley interrupted Deaths words. Ramsey thrusted the sword in the figure's cloak only to feel no physical connection with its body. Instead, Ramsey shot out from the other side, removing the cloak from the entity. Ramsey froze as he gazed upon the very manifestation of blasphemy.
"Oh, how have you seen the My Dogma! Unbound by time but in due time, I will return this world to oblivion! The chains of imprisonment will rust to dust before I keel over. One cannot be executed. This... this is the curse of never ending life; Is it marvelous to you,Ramsey? Do you like living while everything else around you dies?" The Reaper asked.
"Never ending life?! That's no curse, sir! This is the start of my life long dream! You are alive forever and forevermore! With this, I shall restore what both time and madness have stolen from me; my bride shall return back to my side and we shall reign for ever young!" Ramsey said passionately.
"Oh, so you really do fear the void? The void is all seeing without eyes. You don't run from the void, you embrace it. One must let death be your peace of mind. All things that begin MUST have an end. Perhaps, you need to actually get what you desire in order to realize that it was never what you wanted... In good faith, The first half of my gift is yours, emperor..." Death gave ramsey half of his "gift" of eternal life.
"Awww... That's a load of baloney! What of the other half? Didn't you want your life as death to end?" Ramsey asked.
"Yes that is true, but I must be certain that you have the will to become what i no longer have the will to be. You may have the other half under one condition, just one." Said the Reaper.
"Anything Sir, So long as it doesn't question my man hood." Ramsey responded jokingly.
"You must gather one million souls! Do this and the title of Death is yours!" Death promised.
"one million souls... That's it for gift of eternal life? You're really selling yourself short like that? HAHA! You might as well say it's mine already!"
