I decided to kinda curl my hair for the evening. Eyes, black with my usual wings that turned out perfect. I'm wearing a grey tank that's quite open and is showing off my moon and stars tattoo, that are right below my collarbone. I got it to represent the light in darkness. Its partly covered by my necklaces. My black skinnies that go perfect with my purple converse, and I'm ready to go. Now just a lie to get me out.
Wow, I never imagined it to be that easy. I'm not a great liar. Maybe me holding a binder and backpack had something to do with it. Well whatever, to the party I go. Hopefully it will be worth it. Bryan and Evan had already left, I wonder what their lie was.
I'm kind of hoping I see that guy from the bathroom at the party. He was really good looking and he talked to me. The best part about it there was so judgmental look in his eyes. I haven't seen that since I met Bryan and Evan.
I stashed my binder and backpack in some bushes and started walking. I actually have no idea where I'm supposed to be going. At least its a nice night for a walk.
A vehicle honks, and I almost jump out of my pants. Which is quite hard considering they are so tight. My head snaps around to see a truck, its to dark already to make out the colour. A window rolls down but I can't see a face. There is only one person in the vehicle though, that I can see.
"Need a ride?" That's definitely a guys voice.
"You're not offering me chocolate" I say pretending to be shocked.
He laughs, "oh come on you can trust me."
"That's what they all say!"
"You've trusted me before."
That's when I realize its him, the guy from the bathroom.
"I haven't told anyone your secret" he laughs again. The door opens, what the heck I run up to the truck.
"I have pepper spray in my purse if you try anything!" He laughs again, I get in and close the door. I know, I'm not smart. I just got in a vehicle with a total stranger, but hey if it makes any difference I ran into him in the boys bathroom. I also did really want to see him too, I saw my chance and took it.
"You know I never did get a name."
"Neither did I" I glare at him with a little smile on my face, which I doubt he can see.
"Dwayne" he chuckles. "And you are?"
"It's strange we are asking these questions after I'm in the truck" I laugh. He completely stops the truck and tell me to get out. I'm shocked, but do as he says. After I closed the door he starts driving. Suddenly he is backing up and stops right where I have been standing since I got out. I've been to shocked to start walking again. He opens the door but this time also turns on a light.
"Hi, I'm Dwayne. The guy from the bathroom you shouldn't have been in, need a lift"
I laugh in relief. "I'm Sage, thanks." I get in, close the door and ask if he's going to the party.
"Just came from there, it was shit. I need company to join me to my own private party, you in?"
I smile. "I'd be honoured"
I put on my seat belt and we start driving, I don't ask questions. Don't ask why, but I trust him.
After he asked me if I needed a ride without telling me who he was. Realizing that might be kind of weird, he dropped me off and started over. Which was also kind of weird. In the end I can tell we are both weird people because I got in both times. I like it.
We have been driving for a few minutes and no one has said a word, I decide to break the awkward silence. "So where are we going?"
"Shh, its a surprise." This couldn't be a weirder night. All I know about him is his name, he's sexy and he's one of the only people other then me that pees during class, but I am trusting him. I have no fricken clue why. What am I doing? I guess its a little to late to be asking myself that.
When we finally stop driving he tells me to close my eyes. I do as he says, he gets out of the truck and comes to my side and opens the door. He takes my hand and leads me out of the truck. We walk for a while, I still have my eyes closed. Then we stop.
"You can open your eyes now." I open my eyes to see we are on a harbour. I'm shocked by the beauty of this place. It looks old and abandoned and all the boats that are here also look old. The air smells fresh even though there is probably mold growing on this old wood. The stars seem to be glowing even brighter here, you can't hear anything but the water slashing against the dock. No vehicles, no nothing. It's the most peaceful place I have ever been to. Why did he take me here?
"This place is beautiful!" I hesitate and ask, "are you gonna drown me here?"
"Depends on your attitude" he laughs. "I'm kidding" he laughs again.
I laugh to, "then why did you bring me here?"
He takes my shoulders and turns me to the right, I'm facing an old boat. "Get in!"
"Are you kidnapping me? Because I wasn't kidding about the pepper spray"
He chuckles, "yes I'm kidnapping you, but don't worry I will bring you back. After we finish fishing!"
"You re taking me fishing? Why?" I say shocked.
"Because, now get in."
"I don't even know how to fish, and I've never been on a boat..."
"I will teach you, oh is the girl who got in a strangers truck scared to get on a boat?" He's teasing me.
"No!" I laugh and jump in. He jumps in after me.
"See that wasn't so hard!" He's teasing me again. Damn, he is so cute.
