A FEW HOURS LATER (STILL JENNA’S POV)
I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder. My eyes fluttered open, only to see some kid. He was a little older than me, and was wearing a madras shirt. ‘Oh, great. Just what I need.’ I thought. I looked around and saw about four or five Socs standing there, looking at me. I tried to sit up, but I couldn’t. I was too weak, my head was killing me! I looked up again and saw smiles grow on their faces. ‘Okay. Now I’m scared!’ I thought.
“Hey baby, what’re you doin’ out here all by yourself. Why don’t you come with us… we can show you a good time.” The Soc with blond hair slurred. Even better! They’re drunk!
“No thanks, I’m just gonna go home…” I said, trying to be nice so I didn’t get hit.
“Sorry, but that’s not really an option.” The Soc with dark hair spoke up. I stood up and with the little strength I had left, I walked away from them. I started to run when I heard them get in they’re car. I ran all the way to the fountain. I’m surprised they didn’t grab me. They could have. I was walking over to the fountain when I saw Johnny and Ponyboy there. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see them!
“J-Johnny?” I asked. The boys turned around and once Johnny saw me, he ran up to me and pulled me into his arms.
“Jenna! Where have you been!? I was worried sick! I’m so sorry I yelled at you like that! I didn’t mean it; I was just worried about you is all.” He said. I looked into his deep, almost black eyes and frowned.
“Johnny. No. I’m sorry I ran out like that. I was just a little scared, and sick, and to be honest… I was jealous that you two sat with those girls… I acted like a child… can you forgive me?” I asked hopefully.
“Of course baby, now how bout we go to Pony’s house and sleep it off?” Johnny said. Me and Pony nodded. Then a blue Mustang pulled up and the five Socs from earlier got out and made their way over to us. Johnny grabbed my hand, and I looked over and he was as white as a ghost.
“Ya wanna make a run for it?” Pony asked.
“No, we can’t. Here they come.” Johnny said as the Socs walked up to us.
“Hey, whatta ya know?” The blond head slurred unsteadily. “Here’s the greasers that picked up our girls and their greasy girlfriend too.” He smiled at me. I don’t think he recognized me.
“You’re out of your territory now you’d better watch it.” Johnny warned in a low voice. The dark haired one stepped closer.
