I woke up like any other normal first day, except today wasn't going to be normal. In fact, far from it. I got up did my normal day to day things, did my hair, brushed my teeth, put on makeup, and put on clothes. I kinda made a special effort due to it being the first day. I lived a while away from my school, so I rode the bus, not the most convenient, but it worked.
I finished getting ready, checked my self out in the mirror, and I was out the door. Since I did live far away I had to be on the bus at 7:30. A half an hour ride later I'm at school. I'm not the type to have a lot of friends, but the friends I did have I trusted with my life.
"Omg, heyyyyy Angel it's been such a long summer," my friend Jazzmynn says to me opening her arms for a hug, "c'mon you know you want too!"
She was right it had been a long time since I've seen her and to be frank, I really did miss her. "Yeah, yeah, you're lucky I missed you, you crazy bitch."
"Heyyyyy where's my hug?" I hear my other friend Chanelle say from behind me. I turn around and give her a hug too.
Then I catch someone out the corner of my eye, someone I've never seen before in my entire life. He was tall about 6"0 I guess, he had piercing light brown eyes that seemed to shine in the early morning sunlight, and the most beautiful smile I had seen in a long time. He had the straightest, and whitest teeth I have ever seen, they were almost glowing. His dimples were so deep into his face, it seemed like they weren't real.
Then my eyes couldn't help but travel along his body. He had a body sculpted by gods, perfectly toned muscles and shoulders, and a chiseled jawline. I guess I got caught up staring cause he was now staring back. We were staring at each other for a long time, and my friends seemed to notice.
"ANGELLLLLLLL HELLOOO!" Jazzmynn yelled and snapped in my face.
I stutter, "S-sorry I was just distracted."
"I see why, lookin at Mr. New Boy weren't you?" Chanelle asks pointing in his direction.
I just smile and now I definitely regret that decision, "SCREEE-!" I slap my hand over both their mouths.
"You're making a scene!" I say through my teeth, "looking at someone means nothing!"
We continue to catch up until it's time for first period, I had math which I'm pretty happy about cause I'm super good at it. We had only lunch together, but for me that was enough time with them.
I set up my locker taking only what I need out then my heart starts racing when the new boy tries opens his locker which is right next to mine. "Um hi, I uh- need a little help... I can't get my locker open." He says running his hand through his hair.
"Sure, what's your combination?" He hands me a paper that reads "8-12-1."
"Okay so there's a trick to these lockers, you have to turn left 3 times, put the first number in, right to the second number, once full time left to your last number." I say popping open his locker perfectly.
"Thanks, I'm probably still going to need help on that though," He says staring into my eyes, " Uhm, what first period do you have?" He asks shyly.
"Math, you?" I say looking away still organizing my locker.
"Yeah, same, uh you think you can show me there?" He's now putting stuff in his locker.
"I don't see why not." I reply now shutting my locker.
He takes his stuff out and scrambles to close his locker. "Don't bring a wooden pencil Mr. Smith hates them."
He shuffles through this stuff, "I don't have a mechanical one."
