He didn't respond instead he just tightened his hands on the wheel. Anxiety soon started to take control of my body. Oddly enough I still felt safe with him.
The car was speeding down the highway. So fast I couldn't even tell you the estimate of his speed.
My heart raced watching him switch lanes.
Soon enough we were no longer on a highway or any public road.
We drive up this hill that is just surrounded by trees. The darkness consumed the car and the street.
Then light showed up at the top of the hill. A long cement driveway brought us to this huge house.
My jaw wasn't existent anymore. I blink very slowly trying to take everything in.
I've never seen things like this before. It was beautiful and the color complemented everything. The roses surrounded the house gripping onto the sides and the long vines grabbing onto them.
"This is where you will be staying with me. It's usually just my house but my brother seems to pop in every once in a while but he is always at his girlfriend's." Grayson says parking the car. He gets out fixing his suit and walks towards the big black doors.
"Get inside and go to the top floor the room on the left is yours." He says demanding.
I obey since I already should have lost my job. It wasn't going to take any chances.
I speed through the house getting lost two or three times.
I think I finally managed to make it to the top floor.I look to my right and see a bigger door. My mind wondered what was behind it but my anxiety pushed me away.
I walk into the room seeing this beautiful room all white and it looked very comfortable.
I was so tired I just wanted to rap myself in that bed.
My body kinda just listens to my mind and I walk forward and fall on the bed.
Without time to change I pass out.
_ _ _
A loud sound booms through the air awakening me. I scream hiding my head under the blanket.
My heart rapidly beats listening to the sound of thunder.
I know it's seems stupid. A twenty two year old women afraid of a thunderstorm.
It was something I had a bad past about
***flashback***
Unknown POV
I walk out of the gate of the orphanage. My long black veil moved with each step I took. Going home was the highlight my day taking off these uncomfortable brown shoes.I hear slight cry making me confused since all the children were inside.
I walk down the stairs to see a brown box.
Loud cries filled the streets and I look down at the book to be struck with horror.
A small infant undressed in a moldy box. My heart stops and I'm in shock.
A small drop of water drips down the babies face. Followed by a loud clap of thunder. Making the infant more distressed.
I instantly threw my arms around the small human. Strong hazel eyes struck me with love. This baby girl was so innocent but she was thrown aside like a piece of trash.
She deserves better.

Jerseys POV
I look over the big counter smelling the cinnamon cookies and my heart rate speeds up.Christmas was my favorite time of year at the orphanage. All the sisters had gone out to the Christmas carol other then good old sister Elisabeth.
She was dead asleep by now leaving me a chance to steal a forsaken treat.
I giggle to myself tippy toeing on the books I stacked. My small arm reached to the rack.
I clasped my small hand around the delicious Christmas cookie.
But then a loud sound fills the air and I let out a squeal. My feet lose balance and I fall back.
My small body falls against the checkered floor. Loud booms stilled continued. I scream for help as pain circulated through me.
A bright terrifying light strikes the outside table deck. Horror fills me and screams get louder.
A tall old women dress in a black dress and veil with a wooden cross picks me up of the floor with a flushed looking.
She pulls me into her boney chest.
Bible verses fill the air from sister Elisabeth. I look down to the floor I once laid on to see a red liquid.
Whimpers leave my lips as the pain still hurts.
What was that terrible storm of darkness that was now my worst fear.
***flashback over***
Lightning not one of my biggest enemies I've leaned how to block it by closing my eyes. But thunder, there is no escape.
Thunder can always find a way if you close your ears it will shake your house.
Worry fills me and I start to loudly whimper as I heart loud thunder fill the air.
At times like this I wish I had someone. My dark side seemed to come out at my worst times.
I heart a loud beep then a click. I laid on the side of the bed screaming out of terror. The thunder took over my mind.
My eyes didn't close and the lighting filled my sight.
Warm arms rapped around me. I cry into the chest of the unfazed person.
"Make it stop please!" I cry with cracks in my voice.
"It's okay it all okay I'm not gonna let anyone or anything hurt you." He says in my ear rocking me back in forth.
One large hand was behind my neck the other around my waist.
"No ones gonna hurt you."
"No ones gonna touch you."
"You're safe right here." He says
Suddenly it was like there was no storm. My childhood frights flashed behind me.
Like my shadows draped behind me as I looked at the sun.
"Your safe with me." Grayson says looking me in the eye.
Caught up in my madness I didn't know the man holding me was shirtless and only in one sort of clothing.
I didn't seem fazed though I felt calm and safe right here.
