Chapter Two: Lost and Found

Present, 3rd POV

Ruby: "A new mission! I wonder what it is!" Ruby exclaims, obviously excited to start their new mission.

The elevator then opens, revealing Ozpin, sitting at his desk.

Ozpin: "Ah, team RWBY. I've been waiting for you."

Ruby: "What type of mission is it, Ozpin? Search and Destroy? Escort?" Ruby eagerly asks.

Ozpin: "Not quite, Ruby. You see, this is a special mission. About a week ago, a village was destroyed by Grimm. I want you to investigate and, if possible, bring back any survivors."

Ruby: "Yes, sir!" She says, giving a mock salute. "When do we begin?"

Ozpin: "As soon as possible. Now go get ready." He says, dismissing the girls.

Timeskip, 2 hours

Pilot: "Here we are. Good luck, girls."

RWBY: "Thank you. Goodbye!" They say while waving at the retreating bullhead. They then start walking, obviously disgusted by all of the bodies that lay nearby. They then arrive at your house, which was oddly clean, considering that the Grimm attacked no more than a week ago.

They then enter to see a perfectly clean house, failing to notice the boy sitting in the corner.

Blake: "Why is this house so clean?" She asks, walking around and inspecting everything.

Weiss: "Well, whoever's been doing the cleaning around here, they certainly know how to do a good job," she says as she picks up a plate. After closely inspecting it for a while, it slips out of her hand, shattering on the flawless wooden floor.

Weiss: "Oops," she says, while chuckling nervously.

Littlie did they know, this had gotten your attention, and you started to walk over to the broom and dust pan.

Yang: "Guys, look, a survivor!" She yells, while pointing at you. You pay no mind, grab the broom, and start to sweep, cleaning up the shards of glass. You were covered from head to toe in injuries and scars.

Weiss: "Oh my Oum, are you okay?" She asks, legitamitely concerned. You pay no mind. You just keep sweeping.

Yang: "Hello? She asked you a question." She says, obviously getting frustrated at your ignoring them. You still pay no mind, but just continue sweeping.

Yang then gets extremely frustrated, her hair glowing yellow and her eyes glowing red. She then punches you into the wall, finally having enough of your ignoring them.

Ruby: "Yang! What'd you do that for?!" She asks, mad at her sister and concerned for you.

Yang: "He was ignoring us! You know I can't stand it when people ignore me!" She yells back, obviously angered by your ignoring them. You then remove yourself from the wall and continue sweeping, having an arm, a leg, and three ribs broken.

Weiss: "Are you okay?!" She exclaims, rushing to your aid. You pay no attention to her, but simply continue sweeping.

Blake: "I think there's something wrong with him," she says, finally getting your attention. You look up and stare into her eyes. She reels back in horror.

Weiss: "Blake? What happened?" She asks, confused.

Blake: "His... His eyes... They're..." She mumbles, still horrified by your cold, uncaring gaze.

Weiss: "What? What are you talking abo-" She then stops her sentence, interrupted by your gaze landing onto her eyes. She stares into your eyes, clearly horrified by the lack of... Anything in your gaze.

Ruby/Yang: "What? What's wrooo..." They both stop their sentences when your gaze lands on each of them respectively.

Blake: "Guys... I think we need to bring him with us..." She says, still clearly rattled by your gaze.

Weiss: "Yeah... I think so..." She says, also rattled by your gaze. They then motion for you to follow them and leave the house, only to find you not there.

Weiss: "Where is he?" She asks, confused as to why you aren't with them. They then walk back to the house to see you there, still cleaning.

Yang: "Well? You coming?" She asks, getting no reply.

Blake: "We may need to carry him," she says.

Yang then slings you over her shoulder.

Yang: "Well, come on then!" She exclaims, bringing you with her to the bull head.

Two hours later

The bullhead lands at Beacon and Yang brings you with her to Ozpin's office.

Ruby: "We found someone, Ozpin!"

Ozpin: "Oh? And what is your name, young man?" He asks.

No reply.

???: "He asked you a question, young man!" She exclaims, smacking her riding crop on the table.

No reaction.

Ruby: "He's been like that ever since we found him," she says.

Ozpin: "Let me ask again. What is your name, young man?" He asks again, finally getting your attention. You then slowly look up at him, giving him a cold, lifeless stare.

Ozpin: "Oh.. Oh dear," he says, turning a bit pale.

???: "What? What is it?" She asks, getting your attention. You give her your stare as well, leaving her speechless.

???: "Who could've done this to you?" She asks, her voice filled with horror.

Two words escape your mouth. Your voice is raspy and hoarse, seeings how you haven't had anything to drink in a week.

(Y/N): "Father... Mother..."
