Long Night

Everyone had left the building, and the only light that was is in the huge room was above each elevator. Dim and set far apart, they hardly did any good. Jimin had never really like the dark, it didn’t really bother him that much but still, something about it always made him jittery.

No, he didn’t sleep with a nightlight or anything childish of the sorts, he was practically a grown man after all. But that didn’t stop his imagination from wandering sometimes.

He walked to the door quickly feeling as if someone was watching him, a shivering feeling being burnt into his backside. He pushed through the rotating entrance, almost jogging out to the safety of the open sidewalk.

He let out a shuddering breath. He didn’t know how to feel. He felt everything and nothing at the same time, though he felt calm but curious his gut twisted tightly in the pit of his stomach.

There was something about that man, he was drawn to him but he was afraid as well. Something in his breathtaking eyes made Jimin go slack, a sense of dominance and power made his body instantly go weak.

He took one last look at the beautiful monster reflecting the city lights in its glass and begin to walk down the sidewalk. He didn’t really know where he was going, it was only 6:37 p.m. but it was already dark outside. Many would go out and celebrate but Jimin didn’t feel like it, he was exhausted. He made his way home slowly as he felt his phone vibrate against his backside.

He pulled the device out of his pocket and read the text message recipient on the bright screen.

Mr. Kim

Make sure to get home safely. It is already dark outside, we wouldn’t want the savior of Min Industries getting himself into any kind of trouble.

Jimin nearly threw his phone.

How did he?!?!

But then he remembered.

Oh, wait...

He remembered he had sat his phone down on Taehyung’s desk while he read over the terms and conditions of their contract. He must have gotten into his contacts while he was distracted.

He typed a quick response and watched the familiar bubbles pop up at the bottom of his screen.

Jimin

Don’t worry I will, Mr. Kim.

Mr. Kim

Please, Jimin, call me Taehyung.

Mr. Kim has changed his name to Taehyung

Jimin suddenly felt that feeling again, like someone was watching him. He spun around quickly, searching for someone to dart back into the shadows, but he saw nothing. A shiver bleed through his body and he exhaled shakily. He typed back a fast response, seeing that Taehyung was still online and had their conversation open.

Jimin

Ok...

He began walking down the sidewalk towards home again, still trying to shake the feeling of eyes following him as he went. Fear had blossomed in his chest and he walked faster, his heart pounding loudly against his rib cage. By now he had broken into a full sprint, dashing past the dark alleyways until something tall and broad-shouldered stepped into the center of the sidewalk. He skidded to a stop just before he collided into the burly figure's chest and held his breath.
