I watched my mother run along with my sisters leaving me behind. I was young but I understood what was happening. She had said her goodbyes to me the night before as she explained as best as she could that she was only going away for a while and that she will return for me, had it been for the tears in her eyes and the way she had held me I would have believed her, but I knew she would not return , not ever.
The lady Hera held me in her arms as we watched my mother flee, I had overheard her the other day tell my mother that I will remain in Olympus, as I was too young to travel saying that I was only but six years of age, and I would only slow her and my sisters who have well matured down.
"Come child, we must hide you for Zeus never to find"she said to me as I followed her.
"Are you mad woman, I cannot keep her here, the underworld is no place for a child " my uncle Hades said, the lady Hera had just asked him to keep me here in the underworld
"Hades I beg of you, Zeus will destroy her should he discover she still lives" she said looking down at me with love in her eyes. Lady Hera had always been fond of me from the day she aided my mother in delivering me.
Not a day goes by that she doesn't educate me on the ways of the gods, for she was the queen of the gods.
"What you ask of me is too great, Hera , should my brother find out ........ " he shall not, for I shall steer him steer him from ever coming down here", Hera cut him short, tightening the hold she had on my hand
"Pray, if you do it not for the sympathy of such an innocent a child, then do it for the love you had for her mother, your lover. " she begged
I looked up to see my uncle Hades looking down at me with sadness in his eyes which I knew was because he will never see my mother again, young as I was I could understand why my mother committed adultery with the brother of her husband, my uncle,
