He was standing in the middle of the most prominent art gallery in London, which was having a new exhibition that contained modern pieces of art from renowned painters from the contemporary generation, at least it was what well-known people said. Even though he was dressed suitably for the occasion, he looked completely out of place.

On the other hand, he was the only one capable of attracting the girl's attention, not even the artworks were engrossing her like he was.

He was examining a painting, if you can refer to it as that, owing to the fact it only contained a blue circle in the middle of its canvas. He couldn't comprehend why someone would purchase an illustration so unadorned, which he could have made himself, even though he possessed no knowledge in the realm. He promptly recalled that on the wall under the canvas it was supposed to have the art's value, thus he bent a bit to the right to glimpse at it, however, he wasn't prepared for what he saw.

"What the fuck, why is this fucking thing so expensive?" He thought but didn't perceive he said that in a tone someone else could hear.

"Because it's a work of art." He heard someone say behind him and he rebuked himself mentally, he couldn't believe he uttered that.

"Have I truly said that out loud?" He asked turning to the person who answered him, for his astonishment it was a girl, who couldn't be much younger than him. Although unlike him she seemed like she belonged there, he didn't know why he thought that nevertheless it seemed appropriated to and for a while, he felt like he found the only masterpiece in that cramped gallery. He was hypnotized by the ravishing artwork in front of him, what made him glare at her so vehemently, for a moment, she gazed back at him, and for him, it seemed like they could touch each other's soul.

Moments after he diverted his attention to the cheeky grin plastered on her face, it wasn't a cordial one however it wasn't a hostile one, just a nice to meet you smile, even though they hadn't introduced themselves yet. Subsequently, the silence started to become uneasy, hence she pondered over something to say, he perceived that in view of the fact she was biting her inner cheek likewise, he did when he thought.

"How can you not appreciate this winsome piece of art? Can't you see what it represents?" The girl disregarded his question completely, as he knew she would do and he persisted to look at her but now with a bewildered expression on his face.

"Apparently, you don't comprehend, the painter is presenting you with a vast number of questions, for example, what you know just by observing something so plain, doesn't it make you ponder about life? This blue spot could be anything like a water drop in the middle of the sky or in a clean sheet or maybe a slop of water on a white floor. Do you understand what I'm implying?"

He was further baffled after her explanation, was it even plausible to understand what she was saying? He glanced back to the painting to view if he could detect something, however, he only saw the blue dot on it and every second that passed he was becoming extra muddled and for that matter, he started to get bitter. Was he witless that he couldn't apprehend what the girl was talking about? He turned his head to her once more when he detected a little giggle and then he understood she was fooling around. He didn't even know her and she was mocking him, what kind of person does that? After a while, he realized he would do the same if he was bored, what he was indeed, still he couldn't make fun of old people, that was cruel as he had learned by the many lectures his parents had given him. He understood where she was coming from although he was still sore, it was a little humiliating to be played by someone he had never seen before.

"Fuck off." He uttered angrily though it only made her laugh more stridently, drawing attention from other people that were nearby them admiring the paintings. Some of them looked their way with criticism in their eyes, others ignored them and some looked engaged in what was happening between the delightful girl and the insolent boy.
