It was a long night, literally. I had planned to nap for two hours, and that eventually became 11 hours. I'm kinda glad I slept though, however that didn't help me in my attempt to sit up straight. Everything just felt so off. I guess that's just what happens when you sleep for 11 hours straight, especially when you're only used to seven hours of sleep every night. It would still be a great story to tell Terry and the others.
I had woken up on the wrong side of the bed, which now that I had taken a look around, was true. It was still dark out, and paranoia for the weird shadow in the closet forced my hand. Reaching for my phone, I tapped the code into the keypad. Just like second nature, I was already on YouTube checking my subscriptions. A new theory on Petscop, a short horror film, lofi, and way too many GMM videos. The thumbnail for the short horror film caught my eye. Elongated fingers gripping the top of the bathtub's ledge, sharp black nails curling onto them. What I couldn't understand was what it's head was supposed to be. Stitches of black lines made a side ways T on it's face, but other than that, I couldn't make out any facial features. Until I looked down. A sinister smile pressed against the ledge in a smirk. It was unsettling, but I just couldn't look away.
Pressing the home button, I checked my messages. Of course. None.
When was the last time she texted me?
Rolling onto my side, I felt a burning in my eyes. This is what lonely feels like.
Any energy I had before had been drained from my body. Just moving from my bed became the most difficult thing in the world, and going back to sleep wasn't such an unpleasant idea anymore. Missing someone so much... kinda really sucked. It started only as an experiment, and soon a month had gone by. After that, I started to doubt my decision. I shouldn't have been so pathetic, and shouldn't have thought too much about it. But it hurt me way too much.
I decided enough was enough, and got back on my phone to text her. With one simple word, my world turned upside down. "Hey."
