It all started with a terrible accident. A plane carrying a large group of purebred cats and their owners never made it to their destination. Instead, they landed right in the middle of the ocean, making their final resting place with the fish.

It was mid morning when the first of the feline survivors found dry land. A young calico she -cat collapsed into the sand. Soon a Maine Coon tom cat joined her, followed closely by a small Egyptian Mau she -cat. A female Balinese, a male oriental short hair, a Siberian tom cat, and a very visible pregnant American longhair made their ways onto the shoreline.

"Are we all that is left?" The calico she-cat's fur shook, "Where are the caregivers?"

The Siberian tom cat lifted his nose into the air and took a deep breath, "I can't smell anyone."

"Well of course not," spat the Maine Coon, "we are by an ocean and they are all at the bottom of it!"

The grey American longhair she-cat let out a small cry, "What are we going to do?" The others mewed in agreement.

"We need to find help." the Balinese decided, "Who wants to join me?"

"Who made you the leader?" the Maine Coon hissed, "I'll lead a group of the toms to find any humans. She-cats stay here."

The toms spent the rest of the morning and halfway through the afternoon searching for any sign of people to no avail

The toms spent the rest of the morning and halfway through the afternoon searching for any sign of people to no avail. "We are on our own." The Maine Coon finally reported.

The she-cats sat on the shoreline, grooming each other. "I could have told you that one awhile ago." The balinese's voice was sharp like her claws. She rose as the toms approached, "So since you have decided to be our leader, what is your plan?"

"We need food and shelter," The calico joined the Balinese, "especially for her." She flicked her tail in the direction of the expecting she-cat. Hours passed and without any food the cats slowly began to drift off to sleep one by one.
