The Trait of Depression [Sanders Sides x Reader]

Now five

"Thomas.. there might be more traits then you know about."

After the video, everyone decided to go into the mind palace where all the traits lived to watch a movie.

"Mulan?"

"We've seen it three times this week. Hmm.. Might I suggest Aladdin?"

"Good idea, Logan!"

Logan was setting up the movie, Thomas was helping Roman and Patton with the popcorn and the snacks while Virgil got the blankets.

He sighed as he got Logan's blanket and set it in the hallway with Thomas' Patton's and Roman's. He then began walking to his room before freezing in place.

Infront of his door was a black fog with glowing red dots that he could only assume was eyes. He then let out a loud yell of surprise as the fog rushed at him.

"VIRGIL?!" He heard the others yell before loud stomping was heard, signalling they were running towards his yell. But Virgil couldn't focus properly because he was busy having an anxiety attack as the shadow loomed over him.

Seconds later Roman ran over and sliced the fog with his katana, which sent it stumbling back a bit, but otherwise unharmed. He stood in a ready position as the others calmed down Virgil.

Suddenly the fog formed into a more human like shape before it disappeared and left a person in a baggy black and (dark (f/c) sweater with the hood up, a (dark (f/c) shirt and black pants/skirt.

"Reveal yourself!"

"Some prince you are." A female voice came from them, catching them all off guard. When she lifted her head and took off her hood, they saw beautiful (e/c) eyes, pale skin, (h/l) (h/c) hair with purple bangs/streaks.

"A.. female trait?!" They all shouted in unison.

"Yes, I'm female..." She murmured quietly. "I'm Depression.."

"Thomas, this might be a tad bit forward.. but do you happen to have depression?" Logan asked, fixing his glasses.

"Not a ton. I have been depressed before but I thought.." Thomas couldn't stop staring at the female trait and neither could anyone else.

"Then that must be why she was able to turn to fog.. She's the on the verge of existing and not." He said as he and Patton helped Virgil up once he had calmed down.

Roman was begging Depression for forgiveness. "I'm sorry! I swear I would never harm a lovely lady such as you!" He held her hands within his.

"Does this mean I have another dark child?!" Patton squealed with delight before running over and hugging Depression causing her to squeak in surprise. "Hey.. what's your name?"

"Now Patton, we don't want to pressure her. She'll tell us when she's ready." Logan said. "Also, speaking of ready, the popcorn and movie?"

"Depression, would you like to join us?" Patton asked happily.

She hesitated for a second. "Will.. I be a bother..?"

"Of course not!'

"Alright.." She then walked over to Virgil. "I'm so.. so sorry.. for scaring you... I-I didn't.." The female trait began rambling an apology but Virgil just smiled softly and calmed her down.

She then let out a soft sigh. "My name is (y/n). It's too much work to keep it a secret."

The others stared at her, surprised by her bluntness.

"Logan.. Is it possible I have a female side?" Thomas asked the Logical trait.
"It is highly likely. Most people have a feminine side, yours just happened to be a side you pushed away." Logan said, adjusting his glasses again. "Although, she is on very unstable ground. Since you only have a bit of depression, she is between existence and oblivion."

"Thomas.. weren't you supposed to get depression medicine?" Patton turned away from the timid girl they had just met.

"Anti depressants."

"Thats what I said."

Thomas sighed. "I was supposed to get the anti depressants, along with the anxiety medication but..."

Virgil visibly flinched at the mention of the medicine that could potentially kill him.

"The doctor will not be happy if you don't go and get them.. I suggest bringing them home and not taking them.."
