Chapter 5

Two weeks later -

We were now preparing for the arrival of Alpha Ashton and some more members of his pack.

We had decided that he could only bring twenty more people, as the previous group he sent consisted of fifteen wolves. We sent five of them back to give him the letter and our conditions.

My pack were cautious at first with the arrival of different pack members but then they slowly warmed up to them, at the moment six of those ten men left found their mates here - they are all extremely happy and have decided to settle down.

This is very good news to me, new pack members - who are all good fighters and more of my pack members are happy.

Last Saturday we had our weekly bonfire party - this consisted of music, drinks, food, dancing and socialising. Whatever people feel like doing as long as they are relaxed, having fun and safe.

I socialise with all my members, loving the happiness from all of them when speaking to me. Makes me feel at home, as an Alpha I feel all their emotions - at the bonfire I only ever feel positivity.

My members met the new mates of our pack; they also met with the Lyndon Ridge Pack members who will be staying with us for a little while longer. Many of our members had fun with them, some instantly clicking with them - enjoying some new company.

The other pack were all very respectful and pleasant, this pleased and eased me very much. They spoke highly of their Alpha and told me I had nothing to worry about - this made me feel more relaxed about our arrangment.

Blake and I mostly went round together, we are very close, the other pack members constantly asking if we were mates - unfortunately we weren't.

As we have both lived here for a long time we haven't found our mates from this pack, but we haven't set foot outside our territory to look for our mates as our own pack needed us. After all these years of new members and members aging over 18 (the age you are able to sense your mate) we still haven't found ours.

It's depressing yes but we are dealing with it, we have each other. We like each other, yes, but we haven't risked doing much as if our mate did come along we wouldn't be able to shatter each other's hearts.

Delta James has his mate, Lily, she is a beautiful petite woman. With James being 25 and her 21 - they are very close, not minding the small age gap. Lily and I are close friends, but we are both very busy with our jobs - me being the Alpha comes with many duties.

With me having no mate means I deal with most of the problems and requests by myself. Lily is the head teacher at the school - she is a massive help to education in our pack.

(Present Day)

Standing in front of my house along with Blake, James, Ella, a few warriors and the remaining members from Lyndon Ridge Pack - we are waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive.

They will be staying in my house for tonight as it's around 3pm, they will be exhausted after the 4 hour drive.

I have everything set up, just waiting for the guests - my anxiety building up the longer we wait but I keep my feelings hidden from everyone with a block.

Suddenly, I receive a mindlink from boarder control to tell me the foreign Alpha and his guests have arrived and are on their way here. I tell the group, they all straighten up and wait patiently and silently.

"Guys this isn't prison, you know you can speak and laugh whilst waiting for our guests." I exclaim and they all laugh and ease up.

We haven't had another Alpha visit us for years, after the last one everyone is on edge - I can understand why. So am I.

We stand their waiting for around another fifteen minutes, chatting and joking around until we hear the soft rumble of an engine. We all direct our attention to the small road to my house.

Soon enough, four black vans start to enter our vision, driving slowly up my track. I step forward from the group to show my authority - waiting for our guests to finally reach my house.

Once they do, men start to file out the vans with emotionless expressions on their faces. Men enter from all vans dressed in casual clothing.

They make their way to us, stopping around 5 yards away from us, I scan all men - not sensing any emitting lots of power.

"So what are you waiting for lads, greet your fellow pack members. You know, I don't know at your pack but here we don't kill you if you smile here."

I tease whilst winking at the men standing in front of me. After I said that, the Lyndon Ridge members all start to converge and greet one another. Many men smiling at me and nodding their heads respectfully.

Some approach me and when they do this I feel Blake standing beside me with his arm round my hip, showing his protectiveness. The men raise they eyebrows at this action but don't say anything.

"Are you usually this happy?" one guy asks.

I laugh and reply, "Of course, I can't be a grumpy Alpha. That would take too much effort."

Blake looks at me weirdly and says, "That's debatable lads, she is grumpy - she might not realise though."

After that I elbow him in the slide and give him a dirty look. The men howl in laughter, slowly easing up.

"Trouble in paradise, I see." one of them winks and says nodding his head towards us. I shake my head and laugh with them.

"With what I've seen so far, I'm hoping you will be able to ease our Alpha up. He can be quite grumpy!" one of the guys say and I laugh.

"Why doesn't he come out of his van and I can show him a good time?"I tease and they all start to bend over laughing.

One comes closer with the intention of whispering in my ear, whilst he does this Blake tightens his grip on my waist. The man says, "Tease and take the mick out of our Alpha, he'll then come out."once he finishes he grins at me.

I nod and start to play with fire, "What is your Alpha doing sitting in that car, I know you said he was grumpy but this bad? Sounds like he has people problems."

All the men now turn and look at me and then back at the van containing their Alpha and start to laugh quietly.

Soon enough the car door opens, a hooded man comes out - this man gives off power. He is obviously the Alpha here.

"Oh darling, I'll show you that I'm a people person - just you wait till later."

He says, taking his hood down, winking at me in the process.

I look into his silver eyes and gasp.

Our eyes both widen when we look into each other's eyes.
