BACKGROUND:
It had been five years since Sarah Williams had the dream of running the Labyrinth. Dream is said here because a dream is what the experience was written off of; just a dream that was conjured by Sarah's hyperactive 15 year old imagination. Shortly after her ordeals, she had stopped trying to contact her friends after a few failed attempts and decided to pack away her toys and games. She was a child before running, but no longer. Sarah had grown overnight.
As the "dream" had begun to fade from her memory, Sarah began to open up to people. She stopped complaining about having to babysit, and she spent as much time with Toby as she could. She grew closer to her step mother and stopped fighting her, she even gave up on her dream of being an actress like her mother - another childish dream.
While Sarah grew older, her mother and her husband had all but forgotten her. After their wedding when she'd turned seventeen and was a part of the ceremony, her mother said she was moving to California to live in Hollywood. There was a video chat on her birthdays, and the occasional text message, however there hadn't been many other words between them.
Now, as Sarah has grown older, she pursued different dreams. She wanted to work with children. She wanted to show them the wonderful stories they could create and the finer points of literature.
And so, during her senior year she took classes that allowed her to bypass her freshman year of college. When she turned 18, she was already a sophomore and was living on the campus of NYU. Now, after another three years, she has finally graduated. Now she is a substitute teacher of English at a school district in the small town of Chatham, NY.
