Alexanderos POV:

Every hair on my body was standing, I fell on my knees basking in the glory of her shadow, my throat constricted. Don't disappear. Don't. My eyes didn't budge from her face, afraid to blink, afraid that she might vanish into thin air again. I could see fire reflecting in her deep emerald eyes, looking into my lifeless orbs, frozen, her face void of any colour. "Esm...Esmèralda" my voice came out raw, coated thickly with emotions, calling her out gently, my wolf begging to inhale her scent and to caress her hair. Her heavy lashes touched her cheeks, eyes slowly closing, letting my voice settle in, her chest heaving. The need to hold her in my arms was so overpowering that I could feel the pain physically. I couldn't breathe anymore. I needed to hold her. To make sure she was alive. To make sure that....she was real.

As if the world held no meaning to me anymore I heard nothing but her soft rugged breaths and her hair hitting the wind gently. Mate. My wolf growled, gnawing the surface in pain, still unable to comprehend the sight of her before us. Isn't real. I whispered moving closer to her, not sure if I was able to breathe anymore. My hands shivered as I reached for her arms, resting my hands on her tiny structure, trying to be as gentle as I could, this time she didn't vanish into thin air.

The breath which was trapped painfully into my lungs came out with a grunt, tears falling from my eyes, my wolf trying to comprehend what was happening, the familiar jolts of electricity hitting us with so much intensity that I almost swayed on my feet. My heart clenched with pain and I growled, even the tiniest flicker of sanity gone. My nose pressed into her hair, inhaling as deep as I could, like a hungry wolf who wasn't fead for days and was on the verge of dying, my wolf basked in her scent, complying to our first nature, my class drawing out in pain trying to get as much as skin contact as possible..... If this was a dream at least I was fortunate enough to feel her and to feel her scent.

My hands wrapped around her tiny frame, pulling her to my chest, my wolf howling in pain, holding her head in my hands, my lips quivered as I pressed them to her head, then to her cheeks and then to her lips, showering her with quick, hard kisses, then pulling her to my chest, I could almost feel myself holding her too tight, my head resting in the curve at the side of her neck. My hands caressed her hair in silence, my tears falling endlessly, shoulders shaking, not caring what anyone would think of me. Her heartbeat hit me hard in my ears, I couldn't make myself speak.

Followed by her heartbeat was another sound, distant and wrapped, timid and weak, shaking my entire being. My chest hurt with overwhelm, tears tearing my eyes once again, it was the first time I'd heard the heartbeat of our pup, my throat closing on me, I've never heard anything more beautiful. My hand reached for her stomach, still holding her with the other, afraid that she might disappear. Fück. I closed my eyes, my wolf howling feeling our pup move beneath our fingers, tiny feet kicking our palm with utmost difficulty.

The lump in my throat felt so painful, so good. Neither of us spoke. There was so much to tell her. To tell tell her that I loved her, to tell her that I'm sorry to tell her what she meant to me. Yet. The need to hold her in my arms and to feel her was prominent over every thing. Her body shivered intensely beneath my hands, her legs twitching, fighting the impulse to push me hard, to whirl around and sprint down that damp, shadowed road; her throat closed in threat of screaming at the man before her, but she knew she had lost her voice and her jaw became tight. Every single vein on her neck swelled due to exertion, anger masked heavily with fear, she wasn't able to breathe, fear leaking out of her pores like sweat.

Fire in the form of water stung at my ocean blue eyes, threatening their attack. My mate was fucking scared of me as if I was an animal. I gritted my teeth in pain, harder than I ever had. Salty tears filled my mouth, slowly I watched her eyes turn blood red, her brain picked up her feet in an unbalanced gait. Her eyes closed on their own and she fell, her head towards the ground.
