Warriors

Prologue

I was running as fast as I could. Sweat was running down my face, and the wind was blowing in my face. Leaves were crunching under my feet.

I could hear the monster behind me trampling on leaves and snapping twigs. I heard a bird cawing above me. I looked up and staring down at me was a raven. It was Casidy.

While I was still running, I tripped over a log. I turned and saw a hideous monster. It was a demon, but all demons are different.

This one was at least 80 feet tall. There were warts all over its body. It had sharp jagged teeth.

I only had one choice, to try. I focused as much as I could. I thought of the ice that would burst out of my hand. I felt energy race up my arm. My heart was racing my powers were slightly developed. I was filled with excitement.

Ice was slowly pouring out of my finger tips. I was ready to make the ice stronger and larger, but the ice stopped flowing. I felt weak and limp.

I heard a snarky voice behind me. "Thank you sweetie. Let's see, ice manipulation and x-ray vision. I thank you for my new powers. What is your name sugar?"

"Erica." I said timidly.

"I am Arwen. Now lock her up!" She yelled this to the demon.

I should have known it was Arwen. She had light straight brown hair. Her eyes were a hazelish color and it seemed that if I were to jump into her glistening dark eyes I would drown. There was a strange black symbol that looked as if it had been scarred in the skin on her arm. Her eyes were surrounded by black dust shaped into diamonds. Her lips were pitch black. She had a strange trinket dangling from her neck. It was a turquoise gem.

"Take her to the dungeon now!" She screamed at the demon. The demon grabbed my wrist and started to drag me to the dungeon, just as Arwen said.....
