this probably should have been the first chapter but lol I'm inconsistent.
luke: You two met in A/V. You started in the second quarter and had no idea what you were doing. Luke, being the natural gentleman he is, offered to teach you some things. You went over to his house and he showed you lots about film, which led to a great get-to-know-you conversation.
mcquaid: **follows the plot to one of the previous chapters** You two sat next to each other in science class and had to do a project together.
tyler: You helped tutor him both after school and in remedial. Your grades were extremely good, and so your teachers asked you to help him out. He ended up learning a lot from you, and you enjoyed each others company a lot.
kate: Ironically enough, you were one of the "badass" kids in school, and so when Kate went through her "rebelling against my dad" phase, she started to associate with your friend group. You kept her out of trouble, but also stayed being her friend.
emaline: Drama club. You always stood up to Oliver, especially when he was being a prick to Emaline, which she adored. She thought you were so cool for not being afraid of him. She eventually started asking if you wanted to hang out, and she sat with you in class or at lunch, sparking a friendship.
oliver: You two met when you were kids. You used to be neighbors, and you were best friends, even after you moved to a different neighborhood. He always liked you better than anyone else, and when you were little, he refused to go a day without hanging out with you.
