Guan Fei POV
“I’m broke” I blurted out as I watch Minghao, my boardmate eat his cereals. He almost choke at my sudden statement, good thing he spatted it out.
“You just got money from your part-time job yesterday” he replied while wiping his mouth.
I sighed, “My dad took it for gambling”
“Now you’re talking” he suddenly stood up from his chair and took his phone from his coat. Then he went back to his seat.
“If you really need money, you gotta do part-time jobs and I know someone you can contact”
“Really?” I cheered up, although I knew for myself I'm having a really bad day.
He shoved me his phone; I saw a text from someone that they are in need for a babysitter. I could totally fit in to that job!
“I’m up for that job, can you tell them I’m applying?”
Minghao nods his head, “Heck yeah. I knew this bunch of peep for a long time now and I gotta admit they are hella rich”
“But aren't they enough to be one of your 'friend'?” I quoted the last word. He chuckled, “Ofcourse it’s their son whom is my friend”
I mentally face-palmed. Yes, why did I even bother to ask him that question. Minghao’s one of the most friendly person I’ve met in the campus and fortunately we became boardmates.
I gotta say we have a lot in common and he look up to me like I’m his little sister so I don’t really mind saying random problems with him. He’s also willing to help, and just like I said. He’s about to help me.
“Fei, I texted them already and they’re willing to meet you at 10AM” He informed, making me shift my attention to the clock pinned to the dirty white wall.
“That’s like in twenty minutes!” I exclaimed and rush to my room to prepare myself.

Minghao and I arrived on a café called ShiSho, I gotta say this place is actually cozy yet you could tell that this is a luxurious one.
We roamed around the place and finally spottted the two person whom I believe the parents of the baby I’m about to babysit.
“Excuse me, are you Mr and Mrs Hu?” Minghao asked. They both nodded and gave us a smile. “I assume this is Guan Fei?” the woman said.
I nodded my head and honestly speaking I’m a bit nervous.
“Yes, I am” I replied, “Alright have a sit, young lady” they responded shortly.
They didn’t took long to discuss about the baby-sitting. I could say they beat the bushes and told me the real point.
“We have a business meeting to attend in New York this coming whole month, Fei. This is our priority but we couldn’t just leave our only son alone in the house. Well, ofcourse we have maids however we want someone to check up on him and talk to him face to face. Is that alright for you?”
I gulped, “yeah sure, I'm good wirh little kids. I raise my younger sister”
Mrs Hu suddenly stiffle a laugh and began to shook her head, “Fei. Our son is already 23 years old, he’s not a kid anymore.”
What? 23? well I’m 18! Why are they hiring a babysitter? I’m pretty sure he is old enough
“I beg your pardon? 23?” I question and I received a smack on the arm by Minghao.
I wince from the light pain, before I could glare at him. Mr Hu gave me a white paper, it was the cheque I supposed.
“That’s just your starting payment, consider that as your bonus. We’ll give you your first month salary very soon” he stated and I was surprised.
My eyes almost bulge out from what I’ve seen. The amount was huge and it could already cover up my whole month allowance! This is amazing!
“This is a lot, Mr and Mrs Hu, I appreciate it”
“We’re glad that we can help. Now that we gave you your starting payment, why don’t we move on to your job?” They clasped their hands and so I did too.
It all went well, beside from the fact that I’m not allowed to go back to my apartment anymore. I have no stuffs with me including my personal belongings since Mr Hu promised me that they’ll provide me what I needed.
We’re on our way to where I’m going to work, Minghao on the other hand already left because of important matter.
I don’t know what to say or feel right now. Everything happened so fast, earlier I was broke and now I’m finally getting a job with a huge amount of salary and with a 23 years old guy whom I’m about to babysit the whole month.
Exciting? Maybe no.
