(A/N this is continuing from chapter two, so you get an insight on Naarti's life.)
"Naarti, Time for school! Needn't worry, I have your speech machine."
Naarti rushed down her house's ancient, marble stairs as soon as she heard her name. She readjusted her mask on her face. Then, grabbing her bag, and some breakfast to eat on the bus, she was ready to go. Her mother lead her to the car, of which they clambered into. Her speech synthesiser was already packed in the boot. Soon enough, they were at the bus stop. Naarti kisses her mother goodbye, and jumped out of the car, synthesiser in hand. She couldn't wait to see her friends; She was jumping up and down like popping candy on the tongue.
Where are they? She wondered, as she looked at her surroundings. She decided to text them and ask. She wasn't late, was she? Fear broke loose in Naarti's head as she scrabbled for her phone.

Ninja bish: Turn around dork.
What? Naarti turned around hesitantly. And well what would you know, they were standing right there on the other side of the road. Waving. Naarti stayed in her spot, laughing hysterically at her stupidity, but also in embarrassment. A slight blush lingered on her face. Rachel shouted at her.
"What are you doing just standing there! Come over here dummy!"
Naarti sprinted across the road in glee and with worry, she didn't want to miss the bus. She almost ignore the giant lorry threatening to run her over. Her friends noticed this, and Constantine swiftly pulled her onto the path. She was panting like mad.
Naarti typed into her iPad. Her speaking machine stuttered. "T-thanks."
Before Naarti could say anything else, Benny forced her into a bone-crushing hug. He gently pulled her hair back and tucked it behind her ear. "Don't scare me like that. I could've lost you." He whispered, genuinely concerned.
"But hey! You didn't! Don't worry about it, Ben. I can look after myself, y'know." She typed, smirking as her machine said it back. "After all, I've lived with this piece of junk my whole life." She pointed to her machine.
"Hah.." Benny chuckled nervously, itching the back of his neck as he let her go. To break the awkwardness, the bus arrived.
Rachel clapped her hands with glee. "YES! BUS TIME BABEH!" She put her hands up into the air, waving them vigorously. Constantine however, was worried. "Thalia.. have you got money for bus tickets?" He stared at her, shaking. "Uh no.. I thought you were bringing it." Thalia questioned as she poked him in the chest. Rachel was also starting to worry. "It wasn't my week to bring it so I didn't.." she exclaimed.
Benny shook his head, making "Tut tut" noises with his mouth. "I knew this would happen." The others stared at him in disbelief. They were speechless, it was like he had telepathy. "Don't worry. I brought spare money."
The bus was waiting, impatiently now. "Our saviour!" Rach suddenly hugged Benny in joy. "Ha..you can let go now." "OKAy!"
And they clambered onto the bus.

The bus was a typical school bus, like in cartoons. Blinding bright yellow with cushioned red seats. Inside, Rachel, Constantine and Thalia sat in the back, Benny and Naarti in front. Rachel was blasting p!atd and MCR at the highest volume on her phone, with Thalia rolling her eyes and Constantine singing along, his voice cracking at points. This made Thalia laugh hysterically. And to Naarti's surprise, the bus was completely empty, apart from their gang and the bus driver. Her face displayed a look of confusion. Why wasn't the bus driver even a little fazed?
"I know what you're thinking."
Naarti whipped her head around to look at Benny, even more confused as she was before.
"Why is the bus so empty? Well I'll tell you why." Benny chuckled.
Does this boy have telepathy or what? He always knows what I'm thinking, or what's on my mind. And yeah, it's definetly useful, but a little creepy at points.
"Everyone else who goes to the school lives near it. But we're relatively new, and further away. Most others go by car because buses aren't "Revolutionary" or something. Ugh, rich kids." As he said "Revolutionary" he scowled, as though he despised every letter.
"So we're the only ones that go by this bus. The driver's used to us by now. He's nice to have a chat with, too. Hey Jim!" Benny exclaimed, expecting an answer. All he heard was a grunt in response. Naarti typed into her machine.
"I am metaphorically laughing so much." Naarti's machine said as Naarti smiled toothily. Benny chuckled at this, a warm smile growing on his face. "I love you." He uttered, pecking her cheek. Naarti couldn't even return the three words before Thalia interrupted.
"Enough with the mushy stuff love birds! Sheesh!" Thalia shouted.
"Aww, are you jealous?" Constantine teased.
"I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU CONSTY!" She screeched as she tackled him into a different row of seats.
"Well He sure does know how to push her buttons!" Rachel pointed out, giggling as she did so.
(A/N: I was hoping to make this chapter much longer, but I'm on writers block. Comment any ideas? I have an idea for what impression Naarti makes on her classmates, but that's it. :/)
(A/N: Nvm, I have an idea. Might continue today or tomorrow, but I do have school. Any one know what this weird thing is?) vvvv
