Popularity Doesnt Mean Anything...

Part six

There is one word to describe my emotions right now and that is excited.

When I got the text from jack I was a bit confused, I still am because it was so out of the blue. Right now I'm walking to my locker before school starts to get my supplies for class and people keep giving me weird looks. Alexis isn't bothering me too, which I'm happy dancing about inside my head but I still find this suspicious. Randomly, I felt arms shoot around me from behind and the person kissed my cheek. I spun around, confused and was weirded out to see jack smiling at me. I gave him a whats-going-on look and he whispered in my ear "talk to you at lunch." And then he walked away. I turned around and touched the spot on my cheek where he kissed me. What the fudge?!

AT LUNCH

I was making my way over to jacks table to talk to him and I was surprised to see him sitting with players and jocks including Miles. When he saw me he stood up and said something to the guys and then he walked over to me with a weirdish smile on his face. He then grabbed my arm and we rushed out of the cafeteria and into the library where no one could hear us.

"Hey, so what's going on?" I asked him as we sat at a table in the library. "Well I've got a plan. You seem like a cool person and I like being your friend so I thought i would help

You out with this popularity thing since you obviously hate it." "Um.. okay?" I replied "plan is that we pretend to be dating and since I'm a 'nerd' your popularity status will go down. I already told a bunch of people that were dating." He said in a happy tone. "What?! you already told people without me saying that I would go through with the plan?!" I asked in a annoyed voice. "Well I thought you would want me to do it for you and get it over with and besides, I knew you would agree to the plan." He is kinda being a jerk.. what the heckle?!?? "okay.." I replied uneasily. I think it's a good plan but he should have at least asked me about it first before he told people about 'us' and now he's acting like one of those freaking jocks. "Good so whenever we are around people act like we're a couple." He told me and I nodded. "Well I have to get back to the boys, maybe you can come, sit on my lap?" he asked. I gave him a weirded out and creeped out face. "Um no thanks... I'll see ya." I was just about to run out of the library when he grabbed my arm. "One more thing.." he said and I raised my eyebrows. He then leaned in and wrapped his arms around me and kissed me...? Wait what, he kissed me?! I pulled away after I realized I was kissing him back. I opened my mouth to question him and let him know just how pissed I was but he talked before I had the chance to voice my thoughts. "Practice-kiss." He said with a shrug and then left me standing there with wide eyes and me touching my lips.
