“Times running out, hurry up!” my dad yelled. “You can’t risk letting the demons catch up unless if you want to die!” I ran toward my dads machine and stood as it started to work up.
My dad is a chemist, if you didn’t know. What’s really impressive is that he never failed at anything. Anything I say. My mom is a mage. Pretty cool, huh? Mix a mage with a chemist, and what do you get? Me, just an ordinary kid. Well, I thought it was until I went to school. All the kids had some sort of power, all except me. That was when I realized there was only one way to describe me. Unordinary.
The machine started running now. My parents were in their own chambers. A magic ooze started running in the pipes to my chamber. Suddenly, a woodland animal, a fox, interfered with the machine and mixed into me. At that exact moment, the ooze fell on top of me. A harsh white glow went through my eyes and I couldn’t see anything. Next thing I knew, I was in front of a school. This is it, I thought. I’m Shawn Evergreen, I’m 17, I’m half fox, I have powers, and I’m going to a random school.
