III

Eden sighed while he sat in his cabin bedroom. He liked the rustic look throughout the room and all of the cabin. Yeah it may have been a 'Crap Shack' but it was his home for a while. He could hear Yūjin in the other room, getting a shower.  After they ate, they went for another swim and Yūjin wanted to wash the sea water and sand off. Eden's ear twitched when he heard the door creak on the shack.

He sat up and headed to the living room to investigate. He figured his father sent someone to train with him, so he took deep breaths to avoid an argument. However when he walked in the room he saw a fair maiden with long white hair and kind blue eyes. He smiled, his heart spreading warmth throughout his entire body, " Hello, Mother Jasmine. " He walked over and hugged her.

Jasmine smiled and kissed his head, before they pulled back and he took her to his bedroom so they could talk. Jasmine used sign language to ask him how he was feeling after the incident. " I'm alright, just annoyed I couldn't stop it again. Why must he always do that to me.. I just want to be... " he sighed.

The Queen had a sympathetic look on her face as she put her hand on his shoulder. She signed that she was sorry for the way he was, but he believed his father was only doing it for Eden, so he would grow stronger and be able to control it better. So, no one else would get hurt. Eden looked at his mother and smiled weakly, " I know mom.. but he never asked me what I want. He thinks he knows best for me, but I was fine here before. " He tried to explain, standing up and walking around as he spoke.

Jasmine shook her head and moved as if she was chuckling, before signing, ' I know, honey, But you have to understand his point of view. We are royalty. How do you think it would look if you became king one day. Someone could easily take over you.'

Eden sighed again and looked out of his window, " I know mom... just don't see the point of me being powerful.. it's obvious Saisho will be king, not me. I have a feeling He'll kill me before letting me be king. " Eden rolled his eyes and crossed his arms as he sat next to Jasmine.

She looked at him and smiled softly, putting her hand on his, " I know, mom.. " Eden sighed, relaxing a bit. " I'll train.. But I will never feed. " He stated, standing again, " I don't understand why he keeps trying to force it on me. It's addictive and I don't want to hurt anyone.... I know there's.... solutions... but I don't like them... I don't like what they did to you mom... " He sat beside her and put a hand on her cheek. 

Jasmine needed to feed after falling ill while pregnant with Eden. Everyone thought she would be fine with just one dose but she couldn't control herself and began attacking the villages around the kingdom. After Eden was born, she isolated herself by locking herself away in the castles. However, when Eden was five, she tried feeding from him and by the time she'd realized what she was doing, she had already drained over a pint, which stunted his growth.  

Jasmine couldn't stand the guilt of biting her child so she had her tongue removed. Eden had always felt responsible for it. If he wasn't conceived than his mother would have never needed to feed.. or have her beautiful voice robbed from her. 

Shaking her head Jasmine smiled at Eden, she hated that he blamed himself. She told him that he wasn't his fault, signing again, as it was her only way of communicating besides writing. " Mom you don't have to lie to me. I know it's my fault. I was the one who made you sick...  " His mother sighed and pulled his face a bit, setting her forehead on his. She mouthed the words ' i love you.' which made the small daemon relax a bit.

Eden had closed his eyes, enjoying the closeness with his mother. The air was light with a feeling of peace surrounding the two.  " Hey, Tiny, You have any more towels?"  Yūjin asked, interrupting the moment and walking into the room entirely naked. Jasmine gasped softly and Eden frowned, " DUDE!" He threw some pants at him and sighed heavily. 

Jasmine gave a silent chuckle, signing to Yūjin, " My! You've grown since you were a child."

" MOM!" Eden shouted, looking at her with a face of disturbance.
