We live in a world where the violence exercised no longer intimidates us as it once did. It occurred every day, far from our eyes, on the other side of the world but unpleasantly also at a thread from us. Such a thin, almost invisible thread that it didn't give the possibility of option to those people who end up in the middle of it. It didn't happen all the time, but when it happened, and you couldn't interrupt it, the vehemence was like lightning. No one perceived it, no one saw it, but in one way or another, in the end, you felt it. And it was there, in front of us, vivid in our minds, something that remains imprinted. But it didn't last forever, it never lasts for a long period of time because people forget about it after a while and everything came back as before, everything came back in its place.
The underworld, on the other hand, was a completely different story. As the youngest of the Madsen, Angelica had always been keep in the dark about what negative events revolved around her family, completely clueless of the parallel lives that her parents, her siblings and even her uncle had lived until now. Because unintentionally, without being able to have a voice in the matter, Angelica had been sucked into it with the same bully's arrogance. She had never been afraid of anything. She had never been frightened by strange presences inside the closet or by possibile monsters hiding under the bed. She had always opposed and defeated her fears, never backed down in the face of difficulties. She had always faced head-on all the most unpleasant situations, whatever the subject, the place or, even more important, the reason. And if outwardly. She may have seemed the sweetest and purest girl who had ever lodged in this heart, inwardly she was an hurricane. And when and hurricane reached its maximum intensity, no metter how short its duration was, it speared no one.
This is the story of a young girl who, in order to shine in her father eyes and arise in a male's nest, has never finished walking that parallel road that everyone around her was going through.
