The guys tiptoed around you for a few days, unsure of where you stood with Shawn—now that he had confessed his love for you, or whatever. The whole thing was pretty funny.

Shawn kept his distance when the others were around, carefully stealing hungry kisses when the coast was clear. You managed to escape the group tonight, as you and Shawn were going to do the grocery shopping for once.

You sat in the Jeep, Shawn's hand on your knee as you drove in silence, Somebody Else by The 1975 playing softly from the stereo.

"What are you thinking about?" Shawn said, looking over to you from the driver's seat. Out of nowhere, you spilled what was on your mind.

"Thinkin' I love you," you said, looking over to Shawn with a little smile on your face.

His eyes grew wide, hand flying off your thigh and just kind of lingering in the air.

"Y-you serious?!" he asked, "No, don't answer, just wait, I have to pull over."

You were laughing uncontrollably, wondering why he was freaking out so much. He'd already said it a bunch of times, and by now, you knew you loved him too. You thought even he knew it.

He pulled into a gas station parking lot, shushing you until he had the car in a spot and in park. He even went as far as turning the engine off. He let out a huff of air and turned toward you in his seat.

"Okay, what?!" he asked, hands finding yours. You were giggling, trying to hold back full-on laughter at his precious reaction.

"I said I love you, Shawn," you spoke, his face lighting up all over again.

"Say it again," he whispered, pulling your hands closer to him.

"I love you!" you spilled as he pulled you in for a tight hug.

You heard him start breathing a little more heavily, and he wasn't saying anything. Pulling away from his grasp, you asked, "Babe, are you okay?"

You cupped his cheeks and he opened his eyes, tears forming in his waterlines. "Oh my God, Shawn, don't cry!" you said, pressing your lips to his nose.

"I know, it's just, I've loved you for so long, and then I got you, and, and," he was speaking rapidly, "And now you love me?" he asked, barely a whisper.

All you could do was nod, pulling him in for a little kiss.

"Yes, Shawn, I love you very much," you smiled, heart swelling at the single tear rolling down his cheek.

"I love you," he whispered, pressing his forehead to yours.

"Okay, now that we cleared that up, can we go get the groceries, please?" you said, leaning over to start the car.

Shawn drove to the store with his hand laced in yours the entire time, a massive grin spread over his face.

You walked around, making sure to stroll up and down every aisle, even the unnecessary ones. This was the only time you could be openly in a relationship without the guys finding out, so Shawn wasted no time being all over you. Every time you reached for something on a shelf he couldn't help but squeeze your bum, and he made it tough to push the cart because his hand wouldn't let go of yours if your life depended on it. He insisted on walking through the pharmacy, grabbing a box of condoms and subtly throwing it in the cart. You shot him a look, breaking into a smile when his puppy eyes melted your heart. You checked out and loaded the bags into the Jeep, taking a while to leave the parking lot because Shawn insisted on making out a little.

You couldn't protest, his lips were hot and sweet against yours as his tongue slipped between your teeth. His mouth grew rough and needy, swelling your lips as your hand snaked up his thigh and fought the urge to palm him through his jeans. You pulled away, closing your eyes and resting your forehead against his.

"Let's go home," you spoke.

"Okay," he responded, breaking into a smile and starting the car.

The drive home was quick and you belted out Justin Timberlake's Summer Love in its entirety. Shawn was all smiles and looking hot as hell in the seat beside you, and you had no regrets regarding what you'd told him earlier.

Shawn pulled into the driveway and you hopped out of the car, popping open the trunk and grabbing half the bags. You turned to Shawn as he was about to close the hatch, pushing up on your tiptoes to plant a little peck on his pout.

"I love you, Shawn," you reminded him, turning on your heel and walking into the house, only to be met with Matt, Brian and Ian all sitting in the kitchen.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here!" Ian said, motioning to the two of you walking into the room.

"What is it, losers?" you giggled, hoisting the bags up onto the counter.

"You tell me," Matt said, folding his hands on the kitchen table.

"W-what do you mean?" Shawn asked, bringing a large hand up to scratch at the back of his neck.

"Well, for starters, does one of you wanna tell us why you were making out in the parking lot when I happened to drive by?" Brian asked, a smirk lighting up his face.

You froze, looking over to Shawn, whose eyes were already pleading with yours. There was no getting out of this one.

"Look, guys, don't worry about it," Brian continued, "I mean, finally, right? But you could have told us in the first place."

You felt Shawn's strong arm snake around your waist, pulling your body against his as he rested his chin on your forehead.

"Sorry, it was just, easier?" you said, squinting your eyes a bit.

"Well, we're happy for you," Matt said, standing up and heading upstairs with a little smile. Brian and Ian followed suit, each giving Shawn a little pat on the shoulder as they walked by. You turned around in his arms, face still pale from being put on the spot.

"Shit," you said, closing your eyes as you buried your face in his chest.

"Oh stop, it's okay. They even said they're happy for us," Shawn reassured, aware that you were a little embarrassed. "Besides, you loooooove me," he teased.

"Got that one right, Mendes," you groaned, hands pulling his heavy body closer to yours as his warm hands slipped under the hem of your shirt.
