You had always seen Marcus at school, you were in the same year and in Slytherin together. But you had never talked to him much. And if you guys did talk then it was him asking for answers for homework. But it was summer break, you were going to go into your 5th year at Hogwarts and were in Diagon Alley with Draco, doing some window shopping.

"Look (Y/n)! It's a Nimbus 2000." Draco called from a window.

A figure appeared next to him.
"You like quidditch, kid?" He asked. It was Marcus.

Draco looked up. "Yeah."

I walked over to them and put a hand Draco's shoulder.

"Hello Marcus."

He looked a bit suprised to see me.
"Malfoy. Didn't expect to see you here."

"I could say the same thing about you Flint."

He looked at the floor then at me.
"So you like quidditch?"

"I already said I did." Draco piped up.

I ruffled his and said, "He was talking to me shorty."

I looked at Marcus and slightly smiled.

"Yeah I like quidditch. I'm not the best like you or Wood, but I'm ok at it."

"Wood? Please. I'm 10 times better than him. I could also help you with quidditch."

He noticed the worried look on my face and quickly added,
"You don't have to join the team or anything, I just thought you'd like the practice."

He put his hand at the back of his neck.

"Yeah I'd like that Marcus. Well we should get going now."

After my first sentence his head shot up, a surprised look on his face. Then he smiled.

"See you at school (Y/n)." He walked in the other direction.

*Time skip*

"Mom! Dad! Guess what happened!"
Draco ran into our house.

"What happened sweetie?" My mom looked at my brother.

"(Y/n) saw a guy friend." He smirked.

My father looked at me, one eyebrow raised.

"Really? And who was this guy friend?"

"Marcus. Marcus Flint."

"Good boy."

"He offered to train (Y/n) in quidditch this school year." Draco butted in.

"Really?" My mom smirked.

"I'm happy you're making fiends, but I don't want to get a letter from the school saying you got caught in the corridor, after dark, snogging Marcus Flint."

"Dad! He's helping me in quidditch. Nothing else."

"Well that's rubbish."

"Draco stay out of this." I warned.

"Ok." He went of, most likely to look at his wand.

This was going to be a long school year.
