There's history behind it. I don't exactly know what my father was thinking when he bought this huge ass mansion. We are a four-person family. we don't need a mansion that holds over 500 rooms. My father says it will give us girls some privacy from the rest of the family, but I don't wanna leave my school I'm in my junior year of high school do you really think I want this to be where I end up in this shitty little town in a huge ass home that not even my whole family and beyond can fit in. I could probably fit every single person that's related to me in the damn house.

I took one last look at what I thought was going to be my home forever and turned back around in the back seat. My father turns to my mother and whispers something I can't quite understand. he looks in the rearview mirror at both me and my sister Courtney.

"Ally, I know you didn't want to leave your school but it's going to be ok. this new house will give you so much to look forward to. I promise it won't disappoint you. I wouldn't put you through something like this if I didn't think it was right. I love you and so does your mother. We love both of you and when you see this house you'll love it! there's so much space---" I tuned my father out I couldn't listen to him anymore. what was I supposed to do love every second of what they were doing to me and my sister so close to graduating from high school? She's in 10th-grade shes a year younger than me.

The trees started to look dead as we passed them. Everything started to look lifeless, nothing to look forward to, boring and no color. I looked at my sister then looked back out my window. I couldn't help but think about what the mansion is gonna look like. Then I saw it, the black fence, it looked like something you'd see in a horror film one of those old black pointy fences. I tapped my sister on the shoulder not looking away at what was in front of me,

"What!!?" she snarled. I looked at her with the dirtiest look I could.

"Look!!!!!!" I pointed to the mansion. she looked straight ahead mechanically, her mouth dropped open.

"Holy shit! Is that ours! I could fit 5 armies in there!" she gulped.

"Hey! Watch the language young lady." our mother remarked.

"Sorry, mom....." We looked at each other then back at the now closer mansion. It was white with gold trim around the edges of the buildings. Now that we were getting closer I could see that the door was a beautiful red color with white trim around the outside. It was beautiful, I felt like I was in heaven, I mean who knew that something that amazing could be in this shitty town! We pulled up to the fence and Dad got out, he seemed to be unlocking the fence. I thought it was kind of funny that he was struggling to get it open. It was like it weighed a ton like he couldn't move it.

"Hey, Dad. Ya havin' a little trouble there?" I chuckled.

" Oh shush ya little shit! You wanna come get this open, bet ya cant!" He smirked.

" Nah I'm set, I don't do physical stuff, do you see me I'm so lazy. I take after mom on that one!"

"Hey, hey, hey! that's not nice! I am only 30 years old I'm not that old I still move around, I ain't like grama I don't sit on the couch and knit I ain't that boring com'on now!" my mom turned in her seat and gave me the death stare. At that moment I was just grateful that looked couldn't kill but if they did damn I'd be mutilated.

Dad finally got the gate open. I jumped out of the car to run to the house, of course, me being me I tripped on my own two feet and fell.

"Aye, you good?" Someone's voice I didn't recognize said this. It didn't sound like any of my family members, it was the voice of a male.

"Ugh, yeah I'm fine." I didn't wanna move so I just lay on the ground until a figure blocked the sun above me. I saw just the outline of his figure.
