The crazy religious man "preached" to us every single morning. He's always talking about those stupid wolves. We all knew it was bullshit. It was completely unbelievable. There was no evidence, no "signs". Science was what we knew. Wolfhearts, believers of the Wolves, tried to disprove our educated theories and tried to convert us to their religion. Most of us knew better. There were only about 1,000 Wolfhearts left after the Science Boom. One of the more famous findings of that boom was the Almighty Wolves Disproved Theory. It said that winged wolves were discovered in China and had no magical powers. I was young when this theory was publicized. I wanted to believe in the Wolves, but I couldn't. So science prevailed in the minds of most of mankind. Not everyone took this theory lightly. In fact, it led to the bloodiest war in history; The War of the Wolves. During the ten years in which the war took place, over 100,000 Wolfhearts were either killed or injured, and over 20,000 Scienceminds were injured, though none died. The war came to an end after the Commander of the Wolfheart Army was captured and tortured. The Wolfhearts surrendered when they heard the Commander had been tortured to death. After the war, Scienceminds and Wolfhearts decided to divide every country into two parts; The Wolfhearts to the South and the Scienceminds to the North. The year is now 2023. If I would have known what would happen over the coarse of the year, I would have prepared myself. It was the Year of the Wolves, and the world was about to see a devastating change.
