The war was over. People rejoiced and people mourned. Some went to count their blessings, others, their losses. But overall, everyone rejoiced. The prophecy was true. They were saved and they wanted to embrace their saviors. Sakura, the apprentice, Sasuke, the redeemed and Naruto, the Child of Prophecy.
Deep in the crowd of people stood a lady who's joy didn't reach her eyes. Sure, she shouted words of relief with everyone else but that wasn't how she felt.
She had one of her fists tightly closed the whole time and blood was beginning to fall. This woman also happened to have hemophobia but that paled in comparison to what she contained in that one closed fist.
It was back
In her hand was a necklace that she last saw shattered before her very own eyes. So, how it came back she did not know.
It was back to the way it was when she first gave it to Naruto.
It always came back
As everyone was distracted, she smoothly left the crowd.
------
She was running now. As fast as she could. To where? She'd left het feet decide that. She just needed somewhere to think.
"To be Hokage, that's my dream"
Nawaki,"Becoming Hokage is my dream"
Dan,"My future dream is to become the greatest Hokage!"
Naruto...Rubbish.
Her feet ended up taking her to the Konohagakure cemetery. She was on her knees, harshly tightening her group on the necklace with great hatred, close to breaking down to tears.
She gave it to Nawaki, he died, it came back to her. She gave it to Dan, he died, it came back to her. She gave it to Naruto, he would have died but he was just lucky it wasn't still on him when it was shattered. But it still came back to her.
All her loved ones. Dead. Just because of this-this necklace.
She wouldn't let it attack her loved ones again.
Loosening her grip, she brought the necklace to her face and gave it a close look.
This necklace shall stay with me.
It was decided.
She stood up as a tear fueled with confusion, anger, and finality fell down her face. Her eyes filled with fear for what was to come and determination for what she needed to say as she vowed to herself...
My name is Tsunade Senju! Granddaughter of the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju! And I vow, that this necklace is now my responsibility and shall stay with me until I am put under ground!
The God damn necklace truly was cursed.
