➣ Feel Again || Prologue
We sat in a comfortable silence as the radio played in the background. The only noise in the car being my humming and Black Eyed Peas.
"Babe, do you mind turning the GPS on?" Emmet asked with a hint of worry.
"Are we lost?" Unbelievable. I remember telling him to take the express way. But instead he took the shortcut, AKA death valley.
"No, I just can't stand not hearing the GPS's seducing voice." His sarcasm made me roll my eyes. I obeyed his orders because I would not tolerate sleeping in the middle of nowhere, stranded with nothing to eat but a half eaten special K bar.
"You know I love you, right?" His questioned took me by surprise. Of course I know he loves me, like I love him.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh nothing, I just feel so lucky enough to have you. At times I feel like I don't deserve you but you always find a way to tell me that I do." My heart melted by his words. How can I be so lucky? I don't know, but I'm glad I am.
Like before, A comfortable silence took over. I looked out the window enjoying and observing how gorgeous this world really is without the big skyscrapers and toxic air. That is until I can't see anything but a blur. I turn to look at Emmet, only to be mirrored. Then I look to the front to be met with darkness.
