           You know when someone you love gets hurt and its like time slows down and nothing else matters in that moment but that person.
I felt this pain when my daddy Stephen jumped over a guy and landed on his head.I was in the stands with my mom, and my grandparents since I was yelling too much last game. Me and my grandma immediately stood up and I started to yell "Stephen get up!" I cried scared cause the trainers where all Standing around his lifeless body.
" mom do you still have my ID " I asked getting this nauseous feeling and she shock her head "mhm here's you're phone too call me when you get to him" she said worried and I hugged her quickly.
The ID she gave me said 'OFFICIAl NBA TRAINER ' I was suspended by the coach because of the yelling but I usually was down by the bench helping out with the boys.
I ran down the stairs fast losing my breath not caring, just wanting to see him move. " here " I said handing the ID to the security guard and putting my hands on my knees " I can't let you threw, you're suspended " I took the ID " let me threw now!" I yelled and I saw Thompson behind him and he made a funny face and tapped on his shoulder and he looked at Klay and I ducked under his arm and ran to where the pathways that they were coming in , when Stephen saw me he smiled and grabbed my arm.
We walked to the locker room and sat him down. " okay Stephen I want you to follow my finger " a trainer said and I watched him closely.
" okay, hey Alexandra will you go get him some water " a trainer asked and I shook my head going to his locker grabbing his Gatorade and watched him get up.
I walked over to him handing him his water and he kissed my head " thank you baby girl, and hey call you're mama for me tell her im fine " he said and I shook my head "yes sir " I said pulling my phone out of my pocket.
" how is he?" she immediately asked" he's fine he told me he loves you " I Hurd her sigh " okay thank you, ill let you go " she said and I looked at Stephen who had a strange look on his face " okay love you mama" I said hanging up and put my phone in my back pocket "hey did you drink too much?" I said and he shook his head running to the trash can getting sick .
" you're okay just alittle dehydration " the other trainer said and I glared at him " he hit his head " I said annoyed and Stephen spit then stood up " I'm fine " he said "see it was just a head contusion he's fine where gonna see how he does warming up then let him play." I laughed crossing my arms " no I don't think he should play " I said snotty " he's fine " he said nonchalant " no he's not , he was laying on the ground for almost five minutes, he should sit this one out " I said calming down and he shook his head " no he's playing , I promise he's fine " I shook my head and walked away.
I could hear steph where I was though " hey can you guys have Alexandra do the tests , I need some alone time with her ?" I Hurd the echo of his voice " yea sure steph " I Hurd mumbling and saw the two other trainers leave .
" where are you princess?" Stephen asked and I smirked whiping my tears " common you know you want a hug from you're dad " he said all funny and I slowly walked out to where he was and smiled at him " there's my beautiful little girl " he hugged me " hey I'm alright " he said to my pissed off face and I shook my head .
" you're getting a MRI " I said snotty and he smirked " I don't need one " I shook my head crossing my arms " fine get on the line " I said quitely and he looked at the floor " what line , I don't see a line " he said messing with me " shut up , the imagery line " I hit his arm laughing and he laughed to " there's that smile " he said and started running .
I watched him warm up pretty normally and cleared him to play .
" I'm still not happy about this " I said as he took a drink of water as we walked down the hall and he put his arm around me " I'm fine , and when we get home you can nurse me all you want " I hugged his side " I love you daddy Stephen " he smiled " love you too , hey how did you get threw to here Anyways?" he looked at me funny and I laughed " uhh about that, I might need you to tell them you want me down here cause klay sneaked me to the sidelines." I said making him move away" do i need to ground you?" he said mad " no I asked mom and she wanted me to go" I said upset " whatever " he said going to walk out and I pulled his arm " dad I was protecting you, and mom doesn't need stress right now " I said and he just walked out and I sighed going back into the stands.
" hey honey do you mind watching riley for a minute ?" i grabbed Riley's hand " of course not " I said sitting down and riley tried crawling on me "you want to sit on my lap?" I asked patting my lap and she shook her head " yes " she said with her chin up and I picked her up putting her on my lap "is daddy okay?" she asked and I smiled " yes he just fell down and hit his head" I said and she frowned " does he need a Band-Aid?" I giggled " no, but you know what he does need?" I said excited and she smiled " what?!" she said loud " a kiss on his head right there " I said poking the back of her head " like this " she asked kissing my cheek and I smiled " exactly " I kissed her head and I turned to see my mom " hey Stephs going back on" she said taking Riley who squirmed " no mama no" she cried and set her back down in my lap " okay then sorry " she looked at me and I shrugged.
" how's Stephen?" she asked and I shrugged, she grinned at me " what did he do?" she touched my my arm " nothing " I said looking at him miss a three and shook my head " common just tell me."
She said and I looked at her " he got mad because I wanted to protect him " I said upset " baby he just hit his head " she said and I just shook my head watching a free throw.
All of a sudden Stephen went to go hug Thompson after it and I stood up holding Riley " no dad don't hug him!" I yelled " yea!" Riley yelled after me and I sat Down " I love you " I kissed her cheek making her giggle and kept kissing her till she stopped laughing .
" okay let's watch daddy " I said and stood up and saw steph shoot the three and it went in " wooh !" We both yelled getting booed at and I just shook it off jumping up and down.

After the game .....
" hey watch him for me " coach told me and I shook my head then grabbed his arm " am I off suspension?" I asked and he shook his head looking down because we lost . " hey we still got Wednesday, and stephs okay so it's gonna be fine " I said confidently and he smiled " thanks " he shook my hand and I spun around to my mom and took Riley from her " mom don't carry her you already have to carry one " I said defensive and she smiled putting a piece of hair behind my ear as Riley yawned putting her head into my shoulder .
" common " she said rubbing her stomach ,she was pregnant.
We walked to the car and I put my sister in her car seat and kissed her head and got in my self.
" how are you feeling babe?" Ayesha said in the really quiet car " no " he said sighing and I started to fall asleep too since our hotel was far from us.
"Alexandra, sweetheart wake up" I Hurd Stephen and I groaned and looked at him and he still had a pissed look on his face " stop frowning " I said getting up and he sighed putting his hands in his pockets and I saw my mom holding Riley and she gave me that look And I took her yawning " sorry " she said and I didn't react.
Once we got in the room uncle klay was passed out on the couch making me laugh and I took Riley to our room and set her Down on the bed and gave her a sippie cup, her baby blanket and walked out of the room.
" hey Riley's asleep in our room, I'm gonna stay up for little bit " I said and my mom kissed my head goodnight leaving me with just Steph and passed out klay.
" have you been holding down water?" I asked steph and he shrugged " haven't drank much " he said grabbing his food from the microwave "can I give you an IV?" I asked and he sat at the table " yea I feel like crap" he said lifting his jacket sleeve up taking a but of pizza "hang on " I said touching his arm going up stairs.
When I opened the door Riley started to wake up and I shushed her and grabbed a bottle out of thw mini fridge giving it to her and she started to fall asleep. "thank god " I said grabbing my backpack with all my medical supplies in it and quickly left the room running down stairs.
When I got down stairs Stephen was finished with his pizza patting his stomach making me smirk as I went over to the sink washing my hands sitting down.
" you full" I said funny grabbing gloves putting them on and he shook his head yes.
"Stephen?" I said and he looked up at me as I felt his arm " yes?" he asked " I'm sorry for being rude earlier and not following your rules " I said looking down then up " thank you, but I'm sorry too, you were protecting me " he shook his head and I smiled and whiped his arm and stuck the needle in making him squint " okay " I said taping it.
It was silent for a while till I finished flushing his vain " I have to say thank you Stephen " he grinned at me " for what " moved his hand " being a father to me " I said low are he smiled " can I have a hug " he asked and I smiled hugging him tight and he coughed "love you too." he giggled as I let go getting up " common I want you to sleep in Klays room cause I'm gonna wake you up every few hours and I don't want to wake mom up." I said grabbing h g his hand helping him up and grabbed my bag.
Once we got in his room I hooked the IV up to fluids and said goodnight to Stephen." sees ya in a few" I kissed his cheek going back into the living room. I practically had nothing to do so I sat there listening to music till about 2:30 when I got up And went to Stephens room opening the door.
I gently nudged him as he snored and women up groaning "hmm is it time to leave?" Stephen mumbled and I laughed and grabbed the saline bag the was half empty " no I'm checking on you and I think you should go to the bathroom while im up cause I can help you right now " I turned a light on and he started to get up slowly and I carried the bag with me " here ill set it right here you're blood will go into it if you take to long I said almost falling asleep and Stephen giggled " just turn i won't take long " he said and I did.
"okay I'm done " he said and I turned to him washing his hands and I picked up his IV " can I check it?" I said grabbing his hand "yea, I feel better " he said and I made sure it was still secure and we walked out of the bathroom.
" can I sleep here?" I said standing in front of him and he shook his head and I plopped on his head totally passing out.
It felt like only two minutes till I had a crazy baby on me jumping around telling me to wake up " ahh" Stephen yelled and looked at him "what is it ?" I asked and he lifted his arm up bleeding now and I picked Riley up and off the bed .
" hang on steph " I said getting up going and grabbing mynah putting gloves on yawning.
" hey Riley can you get me some of the gauze and daddy some tape it's right there " I said pulling tape off his arm disconnecting the IV from the tubes and she handed me Gauze and I took the IV out and she took a long piece of tape and bit it off with her teeth " thank you " I said wrapping it around his arm.
"Okay don't move your arm , I don't want it to bruise more " I said picking Riley up leaving the room going to our room packing our clothes and grabbed her sipy cup , we walked down to my mom and Klay.
"How's your dad ?" My mom asked and I sighed " good , Umm did an iv last night and Riley ripped it this morning " I said making a pain face and she looked at Riley with wide eyes then Back to up to the stairs " awe there's my baby " my mom said hugging Stephen when he got to the last step.
" let's go home " steph said picking up a bag and we left to the plane .
