A day after I showed the Corporation where to find the palace, Zucker asked to meet with me. I sat down in his office, random trinkets covered the walls.

Zucker sat at his desk looking over some papers. "Hello, Avian. I've asked you here to apologize. It seems we underestimated you, though your crimes aren't entirely excused you did a lot of good in stopping that demon Lycitor. Upon further research, we found that he was sending monsters from different realms to attack cities. You've solved two problems at once and that is commendable.

"I hope you understand I merely have to suspend you due to regulation. You did break one too many rules to be completely excused. A six-month suspension should be plenty time for you to get some much-needed rest after this ordeal. Thank you, Avian." Zucker smiled at me, a rare genuine smile. I wondered why he was being so nice. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.

I walked out of his office where Seltzer stopped me at his door and asked me to walk with him. "You seem to have resolved all of your quarrels. That's quite impressive Soulwielder. Sadly, I am quite busy right now but once I have some free time we must discuss your newfound abilities."

I nodded. "Definitely. It's all weird to me, my new power I mean." I arrived in the lobby and Seltzer went off to his office.

Lily was working at the front desk but didn't appear to be doing anything. I decided it would be a good time to talk to her.

"Hey Lily, I've got some good news. I've been temporarily suspended." I told her, grinning.

Lily chuckled and pushed up her glasses. "Yeah, I know. I have access to all the files and I always keep tabs on yours. You're the only Soulwielder I've seen who has gone from a criminal to a hero in seconds. I swear, it changes every time I open it."

"But this does mean I'll be spending a lot of time in the Corporation. So I can finally teach you how to play Psycho Cards." I had devised my own playing style for cards where things got gradually more chaotic the more you played. I was eager to share this game with someone.

Lily nodded. "Definitely. But you should probably go home first. I've got to head out soon anyway."

I felt a twinge of excitement and fear. My mother didn't approve of me leaving home at all but I missed them so much. I would have to go home eventually. It would only make sense to face the consequences now.

I turned and left the Corporation, nervously twisting my ring. Which had retained its green glow. I had a few theories as to why but nothing was really making sense to me.

I let myself get absorbed in my thoughts on the way home. What was that voice I heard telling me how to use my Elemental powers? I asked myself over and over. Then I arrived at my house.

I pushed the door to my house open and my mom was sitting on the couch, she looked at me for a second, stood up and ran to me. She hugged me tightly, tears slipping down her cheeks.

It was so good to be home.

Finally, I finished talking, recapping my journey was exhausting. It was short but I liked to go into detail.

The white figure that had appeared as soon as I went up to my room clapped. "What a story. I will have to remember this information for when this time becomes part of history. Elemental, we have much to discuss. But first, there are two others who wish to speak with you." It gestured to the side where my two best friends materialized.

"Avian! Oh man, it's so great to see you!" Lars said.

"We were worried you'd die the entire time!" Talia practically shouted.

I knew they weren't alive. I didn't know how they were here but I could determine that if I ran to hug them I'd go right through them. But seeing them here, talking to them.

That was enough.

And done! I hope you enjoyed today's three chapters! I worked really hard to get them all out on time and even though this one was shorter it was almost 5000 words overall.

Today's question of the day is: What was your favorite part of this story.

I'm genuinely curious to know what people enjoyed the most in this story.

As for the sequel due to the large backlog of stories I have to write it likely won't begin until next year unfortunately. But I do intend on dropping teasers throughout the time.

Here's a little of what you can expect: Avian traveling to the Shadow Lands. Switching to Oritz's Point Of View. New characters and lots of them. And a massive expansion of the lore that will hopefully cover just about every single question I may have raised.

I really have enjoyed writing this story, even if it's not perfect it's my first attempt at an entirely original world and I think I did a pretty good job. I know the story was pretty short and that I didn't do much to explain the lore but Book 2 already has a lot of plans set and I intend on it being 100 times better than this story.

So once again, thanks so much for reading and have a great day! Goodbye for now!
